The hostility and homophobia come especially from a population characterized by conservative and religious views that claim ownership of the knowledge of what is normal and what is not, what is allowed and forbidden, what is true according to nature, God and the belief in the creation of mankind.
Since the ability to establish a family, according to the rules of nature (as happens with cats, for example), human creativity and science won, the debate has shifted to lines where conservative organizations and communities claim to define what is normal and correct or the opposite. This argument collides with the reality where there are many models of heterosexual families which unfortunately do not function, divorce encompasses more than 30% of married couples, and even in families that apparently stay together, there is quite a bit of parental negligence, neglect, phenomena of violence, abuse and murder.
In light of this, it is clear that a heterosexual relationship cannot be defined as ideal and promises only good, especially when in human society there are already many examples of girls and boys who grew up in responsible, warm and loving same-sex families. With the question of whether a figure of a father or a mother is missing - they settled a long time ago.
Who determined what a normal family is?
In 2020, a campaign was launched outside the country by the Chazon movement, which is engaged in promoting the proper Jewish identity (according to their perception) to the State of Israel and the Jewish society living in it.
Wandering through their Facebook page, we can get the impression that the movement preaches a religious and conservative Jewish attitude, when conservative orthodox religious institutions control all the processes of our lives and our consciousness. The discourse of "sexual deviance" no longer holds
