A special fundraising day of Akim Haifa Tuesday 17/5/22 • Donation stations in shopping centers as well as through the Akim website and through the 'Bit' app • Every donation is important
The residents of Haifa and the north embrace Akim Haifa:
Today, Tuesday 17/5/22, a special fundraising day will be held for the Akim Haifa association, in order to raise funds for the establishment of a special education school and a day center for graduates, which are considered the most recent rehabilitation complex in the northern region, which are currently being built.

An exemplary Haifa: Attorney Guy Maretzki has been a volunteer for 18 years at the Akim Haifa association
In honor of the fundraiser day, we had a conversation with attorney Guy Maretzky, a 50-year-old resident of the city, a partner in an attorney's office dealing in the civil field, who has served for 18 years as the voluntary legal advisor of the association, who says that the late Boaz Maretzky, his grandfather, was a member of the committee The director and served as the treasurer of the association from its inception for about 20 years. His father, the late Eliezer Maretzki, was the legal advisor of the association on a voluntary basis and since 2005 he has been the center and leader of this issue in the office.

Attorney Hamertsky:
"It is true that I grew up in it, but the main reason why I volunteer at Akim Haifa is the spirit of volunteering without wanting to receive anything in return, which has allowed all these years to concentrate resources on the work and goals of the association with a minimum of unnecessary expenses, unlike for example some of the other associations where the "mechanism" does not need Few resources. Akim's cases have added value in my eyes, compared to the "normal" cases I handle. When the goals of the association are in front of my eyes, the results of the services we provide have a completely different value, much more important than monetary value."
Last month, Attorney Maretzki was awarded the "Akim Haifa Award", which symbolizes the association's appreciation for those who help promote the association by choice, without compensation, wholeheartedly and over time.

Michal Segal, CEO of Akim Haifa, said: "Every request I make to Guy, on any subject, even if it has not been dealt with before, is answered quickly, pleasantly, professionally and in such a way that leaves me with the feeling that we are important, no less than any other customer. Guy is not satisfied with the current work - he understands the importance of the work of The association and its consequences on the quality of life of the recipients of the service and works to promote it within his capacity. At every opportunity where he identifies a potential donor or another factor that can promote the association, he establishes the relationship with us and drives the process."
