Four tourist ships in one day in the port of Haifa!
Today (Thursday 12/5/22) together with the resumption of the activities of the Manu Shipping Company, no less than four passenger ships with thousands of Israeli passengers and tourists, inhabit the docks of the Haifa port.
Cruise season
As mentioned, the Crown Iris and Mano Shipping are opening the cruise season for the first time since 2019. The ship will operate the port every Thursday and Sunday and will offer cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean.

A celebration in the port
At the same time, MSC Lirica also picks up and drops off Israeli passengers for a week's cruise and will do so until the winter.
In the summer, Royal Caribbean will also join the celebration.

Israelis and tourists
In addition to the Israelis on the MSC ship, nearly a thousand tourists also arrived.
The other two ships Norwegiad Jade and Sirena arrived in Haifa with thousands of tourists going on tours around Israel.

Mandy Salzman, CEO of Haifa Port Company:
I congratulate Moshe Mano and the Mano Shipping company on the return of the beautiful Crown Iris that waited patiently during the Corona period and is now returning home to Haifa. Passenger and tourist ships are a blessing to the Israeli economy. There are few marine terminals in the world that receive such a quantity of tourist ships per day, and we are proud to be one of them. This beautiful sight, seen from every corner of the city, will accompany us many times in the coming months and will even be expanded later.
I sailed with the Lyrica Msc from Haifa on 19.5.22. The sailing was pleasant, good plans, food…..comsi comsa…very monotonous. But the nightmare we went through on and off the ship took away from us all the good taste we experienced during the week.
Haifa port is not ready to receive thousands of passengers. We walked kilometers in slaloms that I don't know what their need is in the hot sun. All check-in and check-in is done in the tents. There are not enough shuttles, there are not enough wheelchairs for those who have difficulty walking, the suitcases are standing in the sun, people are pushed at the exit because there is not enough space.
There was enough time during the Corona period to prepare a self-respecting terminal to receive so many passengers and allow taxis to go upstairs as it used to be.
I also went on a cruise on 19.5.22/XNUMX/XNUMX on the MSC Lyrica ship, and the port of Haifa should be ashamed of the unbearable suffering caused to passengers entering and leaving the port, it was abuse of people, adults, disabled people, families with small children, we went through hell until we got to the ship, in the scorching heat , with the luggage, there was no one to turn to for help, we arrived at the ship after two hours of physical torture. It is not clear why shuttles, wheelchairs were not made available to the passengers, we were happy for the opportunity to go on a trip close to home, but the whole process completely spoiled the enjoyment of the trip, and being disabled, it hurt me throughout the whole week of the cruise, I was not able to recover, and enjoy the experience. This is a certificate of poverty for the port of Haifa, and I will not recommend others to go on cruises from Haifa, until they learn to respect people. A detailed complaint is yet to come, including a claim for extreme emotional distress.
My friends and I sailed on the MSC Lyrica on 19.5.22. Terrible and the threat of torture we also had on the return trip.
It took them over an hour to get tired and treat her in the hot sun. I don't think we will travel from the port of Haifa again, the mess that prevailed during the release of the passengers was horrible. Also, I will not recommend to friends to sail from the port.
I returned on Thursday 26.5.2022 with the lyric
It's nice that there are cruises from the port of Haifa, but unfortunately the port is not prepared and does not cater to all passengers in general and the handicapped and the disabled in particular - the route from the entrance to the port to boarding the ship is one big nightmare, lots of walking in the scorching sun and an inhuman ramp to walk up to exit the port.
Why the disdain and abuse of the Israeli passengers?? After all, it was known that there was an intention for ships to dock in Haifa, so why weren't they prepared for that??
I would expect that at least there would be a publication and an update to all passengers about the suffering and nightmare that awaits them until they get to and from the ship. It is clear that such advertising would deter many passengers and they would not go on a cruise and harm the Israeli economy.
All the good taste of the cruise was exulted by the suffering of the distance and the inhuman conditions I had to go through on the way back from the cruise. I hope you will take into account what was said, try to improve what needs improvement and most importantly bring to the notice of the passengers what the difficulty and suffering awaits them.... thanks
With the number of boats anchored outside the port, traffic lights should be made in the sea, and traffic police should be posted
The port is not prepared for the huge amount of passengers. Elderly passengers stand in line for hours for the security check. Zvi Segev
I'm on a cruise that leaves Haifa for a week or more. I'm disabled and don't intend to go sightseeing with my wife, of course.

Greetings
I recently sailed from Haifa with Lyrica 21.4.22-28.4.22.
As someone with a lot of experience in cruises, unfortunately I wouldn't be in a hurry to pat myself on the back. Haifa port is a big disappointment compared to other ports in the world. It's a shame that it's the international gateway for cruises.
The port experience is remembered by me and my wife as a nightmare and classes on foot with luggage and going down 4 flights of stairs when we came to the port on an arduous journey to the terminal. Even on the way back we were not satisfied with the way the Haifa port handled it.
It's a shame that you are not educated to take advantage of the potential that will come your way for the benefit of the port of Haifa and of course the country.
A few years ago we also sailed with Lyrica from Haifa
And the situation then was tolerable.

It is true and happy to sail from Haifa, but why do you have to go through Victor like in the army in order to get on or off the ship, there are passengers who are unable to go through the entire cumbersome process
Welcome to the port of Haifa. Good night
Today I returned from an MSC cruise, everything is cumbersome without trolleys to transport the luggage, everything is done manually, including transportation inside the port, I would not return again
