Nachshon Tzuk in a local lens program - Haifa sailing, the pigs, the upcoming elections, the polls, the Council of Change and more...

TV interview with Nachshon Tzuk, Acting Mayor of Haifa for "Local Lens" - after a long silence, Nahshon Tzuk asked to be interviewed about Haifa's sailing club and maritime strategy.
In an interview with Dr. Amir Gilat in the "Local Lens" studio, Nachshon also addressed other issues: the wild boars, the political crisis, the conduct of the mayor and whether there is a chance that she will be elected again.
The interview is broadcast as part of the collaboration between "Adasha Mekomit" and the "Hai Fe" website.

The Haifa Sailing Association responded:

The conflict of interest letter sent to the cliff is not a letter of silence, this statement is outrageous. The letter talks about boats that Tzuk tried to sell to the marine center and to another party allegedly while he was deputy mayor, which raises serious concerns about Tzuk's conflict of interest. The boat the mayor talks about in the interview that the municipality purchased is not at all related to the conflict of interest letter, and the attempt to throw sand in the eyes of the public will not succeed.

In addition to that, the legal counsel made it clear several times that there is no obstacle for Zuk to be in contact with us, and we find it strange that Zuk's repeated statement on the matter, Zuk is very involved in the matter of the agreement with us, which is not similar to any other agreement, was registered specifically for us with one goal, to bring closure to our club and therefore we will not be able to sign the agreement. Prominent in the agreement is clause 3.19, which we call the "Marina Preparation Clause", a clause that allows us to be thrown off the coast without a time limit within 30 days if any work begins on the coast (including the construction of a marina which can take years).

The Haifa Sailing Club says for the millionth time: We want an agreement, happily, where we are willing and in good faith and we will reach an agreement.

Section "Preparation for the marina" - which allows the municipality of Haifa to remove the sailing association with a 30-day notice. The sailing association is not ready to sign this clause:

Section "Preparation for the Marina" on which Haifa Municipality wishes to sign Haifa Cruise
Section "Preparation for the Marina" on which Haifa Municipality wishes to sign Haifa Cruise

  1. I heard two months ago that the head of information systems at the municipality was trying to convince the council members for a budget of 10 million shekels to replace outdated computers and old versions of Windows on the municipality's computers. Claimed that the municipality is technologically behind other municipalities and only this year the municipality's website was upgraded which did not allow sending forms through it.
And I ask every year there are over 300 million shekels given to the 2000 pensioners of the municipality, some of the richest retirees in Israel with huge budget pensions, some of them over 20 thousand shekels monthly salary for their entire lives, more than double the average salary in the economy. And I ask seriously, is it possible that the municipality will not be able to upgrade and develop the city, because of the Histadrut and the budget pensions it fraudulently arranged for its committee officials that are collapsing entire organizations such as municipalities, universities and government companies whose activities are decreasing due to the increasing costs of these pensions?
Will anyone ever address this situation, because the residents of Haifa are paying for this damage with high property taxes and very little real development in the city. While a small and well-connected group of wealthy retirees celebrate at our expense every year and with them 400 senior salarymen in the Haifa municipality, more senior than all the employees of the Kriya municipalities combined. which is another 250 million shekels.
Is it a city that has a municipality, or a municipality that robs the city around it??

    • I think that the person who was the director of the department for supervision and licensing in the municipality receives the largest pension in the municipality

  2. How can you get a ride on a boat that the municipality bought for forty thousand?
Does it also belong to me as a resident? That's how I understand.

  3. The quiet beach is the only beach I go to.
I love the beach. And I never saw a motorized boat there.
A marina built there will cause more serious accidents with large ships and destroy the beach.
don't touch me on the beach
Do not touch the wonderful sand.
Do not touch the sailing club circles.
    Don't want yachts.
    Turn to Kishon.

  5. Nachshon Tzuk is interviewed by "Adasha Local" and "Hai-Fa".
Planning and construction: I am the chairman of the local committee for planning and construction, I sign all building permits.
Tourism: I am responsible for the strategy, we will build a "Riviera" in Kiryat Haim, thousands of hotel rooms.
Pigs: I am in charge of the issue at the mayor's request, I formulated a strategy for a solution.
Seas and beaches: I am in charge of the field, I prepared a strategic plan to realize the potential.
The Quiet Beach: I am promoting the plans for its evacuation, in order to concentrate all sailing activities there.
The interviewer, Amir Gilat: Let's stop here, let's move on to the questions on the other topics...

They tell of a Jew in the town, who was a watchmaker as well as a butcher.
The clocks he fixed stood, and the chickens he slaughtered went.

Interviewer: Why did the mayor fire the director general of the municipality?
Nachshon: Since this is a trusted servant, she does not owe an explanation to anyone [transparency? lol…]
But the truth is - she is right! With a multitasking deputy like Nachshon, who needs a CEO?
Nevertheless, it turns out that there are no shortage of problems, and in answering the interviewer's questions, Nachshon surprises
and shows an excess of modesty:
pigs? This is only the authority of the RTG, and the real problem is the residents who feed them.
The quiet beach? The state plan, handled by the legal service, I am not involved.
Will the cable car operate on Saturday? The authority is in the hands of government ministries anyway, it's their decision.
Did you object to the matron? lies and falsehood! The mayor only asked to be shown the plan.
[His answer is the opposite of the truth! Even before the elections, she promised to stop the matron's promotion.
could see her at the offices of Jaffa Nof, 50 m from her office]

Additional quotes from the interview, "out of context":
About being disconnected from the public: he does not know what she, as a doctor of planning, knows about the city's needs.
She is an active architect, a long-term visionary... it takes at least two terms to fix
All the damage left by Yahav.
In light of the landslide in public opinion, what were the mayor's errors? Your own mistakes?
Nachshon frowns, concentrates, makes an effort... and finds no error! And finally concludes:
Haifa is going to be the city in Israel! If Klish is not elected again, it will be a disaster!

    • In the Knesset, when there is no coalition, elections are held after a vote of no confidence.
The city council has not had a coalition for almost a year and the time has come for the interior minister to intervene and we will go to the mayoral and council elections.
It's a shame to spread the current circus for another year, and then half a year of an election campaign will pave some roads and signs with images will be stuck,
      We've had enough of that.

  6. If he had been interviewed like this during the elections, Kalish would not have been elected and it is likely that Zionist would have won over Yahav. Nice that they hid him and then it turned out that he runs Klish like a glove puppet by his hand, and goes like her shadow everywhere to monitor her. There are few events that are not accompanied by her and above her (perhaps only the reading of street names on some celebrity for populism). At the council meetings, he behaves in a prickly, offensive manner, there are types who enjoy the very act of "playing" with others to see how they can be annoyed and harassed, and he is exactly one of those, which characterizes quite a few academics (lecturers), but apparently also those wearing uniforms enjoy 'doing it right' and then getting drunk that they are in favor of a good atmosphere and good relations while they continue to divide and rule and seek intrigues.. I have come across several such crags and the more they are nice to you in a soft tone and with the pretense of 'we are working to align the generations and concretely for the benefit of the city', in practice they do the opposite. They get into fights, get petty, think of themselves as understanding all I and nothing more, divide people around them in order to maintain their power (meaning everything has to go through them and those who don't are eliminated).
I just shudder to see his behavior in the council meetings - the realization that people who do not want to be public representatives and do not make themselves available for joint work but only ego and power games are at the top of the pyramid in the mayor's office and her deputy perfectly explains all the grotesque behavior which unfortunately is a direct continuation of another person who behaved like this with arrogance and control games We all know him very well as the previous mayor, but he still somehow learned to listen to others from time to time and be more accessible to the public. The confusion of accusations and paranoia from everyone made this term completely lost and what remains is that the public must elect more experienced people, professional not only in their field and occupation but with human relations and teamwork and listening skills.
I don't think you can even promote anything in that way. Haifa is stuck in a million areas that drain into a dysfunctional, bloated municipality that has become a mechanism that works to preserve its power, control and budgets for itself and simply the good of Haifa and its development are secondary. And no mayor can change that.

    • I agree with you on everything, only one thing I don't agree with is the previous mayor, I think you are wrong about him, but that is your opinion and I accept it. My opinion is that an elected official should be elected for a maximum of two terms and the house is too much. And if Bibi did support, come sometime, but everyone who sits on the chair too much, the business starts to stink

  7. Hello everyone, it is very strange to give the information that is simply incorrect and inaccurate.
Regarding the issue of safety and the injured swimmer:
The swimmer was hit by a sailing catamaran that left the Kishon and entered the bathing beach.
His boat was confiscated by the maritime police.
It is not true that the cruise left the Pacific Coast, and the activists on the Pacific Coast had nothing to do with the event in question. It is a shame to bring this up as a safety issue related to operators on the Pacific coast. The owner of the catamaran could just as well have reached the Carmel beach and hit a swimmer there.
Regarding the establishment of a mooring, the Haifa municipality signed a tripartite agreement in 2014 with Hani and the maritime associations. Due to various interests of the municipality, the agreement was not realized and did not take place due to the conduct of the municipality and this after all the maritime associations agreed to the outline created by Yuval Tzur.
A mooring layout for the maritime associations from the beginning did not fit, and therefore was not the agreed layout either.
I suggest to the Shiriya to take the outline outlined and take care of the general associations and implement it.
What's more, does the anchorage need a breakwater, a permit from the Navy for that, a building permit? Something that will not happen in the first place because no one will give a hand to it. In short, it doesn't make much sense, and it's not true either. It's a shame.
I sat in all the discussions that took place from 2010 on the subject. I know the subject very well and I was a Yore Zebulon Haifa in the years in question 2010-2019.

  8. An impressive performance my dear friend Nachshon Tsuk, Acting Mayor of Haifa. Shabbat Shalom

  9. The truth is, I didn't understand what Zuk said and I don't know what he wants all the time just blaming and blaming everyone they are right and everyone is guilty it doesn't work that way

  10. When when will you fly to us and the delusional one with you, a cliché of the poor, you destroyed the city of rags

    • Amos, first from the eyes!
And please don't complain, the pigs bring much more life throughout the city than what is happening on Habiva Reik Street that Hedva Almog and Yona Yahav brought down on us during their tenure as the city's destroyers!

    • You're right, Amos, and this Rambi, I didn't understand what you wrote, write clearly, there are things that I didn't understand anything about except who it is, no one complains

  11. It is strange to me to hear Nachshon Tzuk say in the third minute that there was an accident in 2013 that no one knows which boat hit the swimmer, when the police confiscated the boat and later released it due to the boater's lack of guilt. The boat and the boat did not come from the club in the quiet beach but from the Kishon.
Apparently it doesn't fit the agenda so we don't know who the cruise ship is and then the matter can be mentioned in a vague way and in the same sentence the Haifa cruise that is active in the area.
Regarding the activity of those 20 and older (which you found out is missing), they can operate in adult groups in Zupi Yam and Zebulon and of course in commercial sailing clubs such as Derech Hayam, Aya Yam and others active in Kishon.
In my opinion, it is better to take care of the existing one first and only after that what you want to expand.
One last thing....well you really claim that you don't know the contract....the matter of the contract is the most talked about issue of Haifa Cruise and you did not respond to the main issue - what is the alternative you offer to Haifa Cruise in exchange for agreeing to vacate according to your demand? Where does Haifa cruise go with the evacuation from the Pacific coast?
You leave them without an answer but insist on the evacuation clause.
This agreement does not sound like a fair agreement and a clear answer is needed to the question: What is the alternative to evacuation?
