Lev Hash Association is an organization that provides humanitarian aid to those in need. The organization has been operating for over 23 years, since then it has expanded significantly and increased the list of services it provides to people with various illnesses, financial problems, those with some kind of disability and many other hardships. Lev Hash's new project is based on equipment donations and providing broad assistance to the victims of the war in Ukraine who recently immigrated to Haifa.
Lev Hash has over 150 permanent volunteers who come to carry out their activities on certain days and hours every week. Also, monthly one-time volunteers are recruited who come from various points throughout the city such as universities, colleges and high-tech companies. In total, hundreds of volunteers take part in all the association's projects each year. (Contact details for volunteers - later in the article)
Among the acts of the association are weekly food distributions to the needy and distribution of special packages and kits on holidays, providing dental care at the organization's dental clinic, an urban recycling center for household needs for families and the needy, mentoring children with cancer and chronic illnesses, distributing food in hospitals, hosting a company and providing support for Holocaust survivors at the Moft Club , care for the needy during emergency situations and many other social acts.
The center works in cooperation with dozens of organizations and companies:
Fatal, Rambam, National Insurance Funds, Haifa Municipality, Elbit, Pelram, Electra, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Welfare, Pluristem - and this is not a complete list. The construction of a hotel for children with cancer and their families in the Rambam Hospital area, in cooperation with the Haifa Municipality and the Fatal hotel chain, is considered one of the most significant projects carried out by the association over the years of its operation.
These days, volunteers of Lev Chas are working in an operation to distribute Passover kits to the needy and Holocaust survivors.
Helping the Ukrainian war victims in Haifa!
Following the war that Russia imposed on Ukraine, thousands of refugees immigrated to the country, of which over 800 people arrived in Haifa. Lev Hash Association did not remain indifferent to them. Dekla Cohen Michaeli, director of the Lev Hash Association, tells Lahi Pa:
"Our goal is to help refugees according to the need that arises from the area. Dozens of war victims come to the association every day and we help everyone.'
Dekla tells:
Recently quite a few refugees have arrived in Haifa who have different needs. We opened our doors to refugees and did various things for them, for example revealing information and guidance regarding everything they have and deserve in the city of Haifa.
We assist them in guiding them to obtain the rights that the government grants to refugees and in the process also provide information in the medical field.
We distribute equipment intended for those in need: pillows, blankets, clothing, shoes, household items, children's games.
Immigrants from Ukraine can approach us freely and respectfully and receive all things, free of charge.
מRussian speaking volunteers Helping refugees from Ukraine
Quite a few Russian-speaking volunteers were recruited for the new project and the association continues to recruit these days.
Anna Duvalkaev immigrated to Israel several years ago and today she arrived in the heart of Israel, with the aim of volunteering for the injured immigrants. Duvalkiv speaks Russian and definitely makes it easier for Ukrainian immigrants to communicate with the participants of the association regarding receiving humanitarian aid. In addition to the above, a course was delivered to the regular volunteers in providing aid and support to refugees from Ukraine.
Anna Duvalkaev shares her thoughts:
It hurts my heart to see the people who had everything and came with nothing. They have to start life anew with concerns, not knowing the language and the laws of the country. I am open to helping them in anything I can

After the article I read in the newspaper Yediot on Friday, I am not ready to donate even one shekel to the Ukrainian immigrants, they come here. You get a reception basket, clothes and everything else, make a life and then leave for another place, I don't care if they leave, it's very good but why is the state stupid and lets them steal from the state, we are too merciful people and everyone takes advantage of us
Have you heard about the phenomenon of single Bedouin mothers?
