Good Deeds Day is celebrated today with the goal of encouraging people all over the world to do good for others and volunteer for society as a whole. The Day of Good Deeds began in 2007 at the initiative of Sherry Arison and quickly became popular in many countries around the world.
We often hear about beautiful Israelis who do not wait for a special day to do good deeds for others, but do and act like this on a regular basis and throughout the year. Today I got to meet some of them.

Attorney Yara Carmeli-Ilouz, who deals in the field of real estate, real estate and mediation, a resident of the Ramat Alon neighborhood, a mother of two, who felt the need not only to say thank you and smile, she even initiated and held a surprise event in the community garden in the neighborhood, to say thank you to Nir Ramati - manager of Matan S. Ramat Alon - and Raymond Moskowitz - the representative of the committee of the community garden that works for the community of Ramat Alon and is engaged in giving wholeheartedly.
The residents of the neighborhood were invited to the event, and of course the children of the neighborhood and the students of the Alon school, who surprised them with bouquets of flowers and certificates of appreciation.

I want to thank you, Nir and Raymond, and all the other activists, for your huge giving, for your thinking and investment down to the smallest details and for everything you do for the Ramat Alon community, children, women and children, and especially for the elderly community in the neighborhood. Your support on a daily basis, and this year more than ever, the loneliness was and still is especially strong for the elderly, the social distancing that was imposed on all of us and the togetherness that was so needed, you proved to us that we are not alone, that there is a family, there is a friend, there is someone who thinks how to warm all of our hearts.
Yeara opened the event and addressed the attendees:
She further added: "We got through the Corona period as sane as possible thanks to Nir Ramati, who took care of all age groups, the elderly, the disabled, women after childbirth, children's shows, workshops in many and varied fields, Hanukkah events, distribution of rations to the elderly and visits to their homes, classes , lectures and workshops".

Nir Ramati has been managing the Ramat Alon community center for 10 years, previously he was the manager of the Neve Yosef community center and the Ramot branch of the Ramot Haifa network.
Ramati said excitedly:
I thank everyone for the kind words said here, you touched me very much. I feel every day the support and love from all of you. It is difficult to summarize in a few words the investment that is combined with a lot of love, which reached its peak this week - the week of good deeds. I cherish and appreciate all the work and effort of all of you throughout the year and when things come from love, the results are not late in coming.

"I say thank you. A huge thank you to the entire team of activists and volunteers, led by dear Raymond. Thank you to all the hard workers who take an integral part in doing things for the community every day. I thank attorney Yara Eluz Carmeli and most of all to our sweet children, who never tire of good deeds. Bless you, strength and continued cooperation of all of us for the sake of the community," Ramati added.

Yaara asked to mention all the activists of the community center, and to thank them, the father of the house, Nissim Shoshan, who takes care of all the details, strengthens, cares for and cares for everyone, treats every boy and girl in the community center personally, helps and reaches out to everyone in everything and always lends himself to help. She also thanked the many volunteers and activists who do everything for the benefit of the community and thanks to the support and unceasing help of the kind and caring people, everyone in the community feels like family.

Nir Ramati did not cease to be excited throughout the event, from everyone's actions and participation for the benefit of the event, from the children who were dressed in the 'Good Deeds Day' shirts, to the refreshments and the cake they prepared especially in his honor.

After the exciting event was over and when everyone had already dispersed, a short sound was heard from Yaera's phone, when she looked at it, she saw the following message:
"Dear Yara! I am still shocked, excited and speechless from the exciting class under your leadership. A huge thank you for all the work, the push and the harnessing of all the factors behind the scenes. It is great fun and not obvious to receive appreciation, warm words and an enveloping hug from the partners, the residents and the community. It was an invested, respectful class And again... exciting and heartwarming. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you lots of health and continued work and leadership for the school community and the neighborhood. You have a huge ❤️ Your family, your relatives and your acquaintances - won. May we get to repay you twice as much with happiness!
Did we already say beautiful Israelis in the middle of the road? Definitely!
They deserve to have a street named after them, much more than all the politicians and businessmen in the history of the municipality of Haifa whose streets are named after them. Their honor is in their place, but what about us and their work. It is allowed to change names, maybe there are chances for it in the future.
Indeed, Raymond and Nir deserve deep recognition for their many years of investment in the neighborhood.
So cheeky
Cheers to you
Good luck to Nir and all the activists and volunteers and it's nice to see that their work is appreciated!
