The bus collided with a wall in the section between Matam and Neve Shanan. The rescue forces evacuated the injured and prepared to prevent the bus from catching fire.

The MDA spokesman, Roi Engel, told Lahi Pa:
At 20:23 p.m., the Carmel Area MDA was notified of a report involving a truck and a bus that collided with a wall in the Carmel tunnels, from the HaCarmel Beach interchange towards the Rupin interchange, in Haifa.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated 48 injured to the Rambam, Carmel, Bnei Zion and Nahariya hospitals, including: 1 young woman of about 6 in critical condition, 7 seriously injured, 34 moderately injured and 133 lightly injured. During the bus accident in the Carmel tunnels, MDA's blood services provided XNUMX doses and components of blood to hospitals in Haifa.
Distribution of evacuations to the hospitals:
* 11 wounded were evacuated to Rambam Hospital, including: 5 in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition and 4 in mild condition.
* 20 wounded were evacuated to Carmel Hospital, including: 1 in critical condition, 1 in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition and 16 in mild condition.
* 16 wounded were evacuated to Bnei Zion Hospital, including: 2 in moderate condition and 14 in mild condition.
* 1 wounded person was taken to Nahariya Hospital in moderate condition.
MDA paramedic Idan Lavi, who arrived in an intensive care vehicle of MDA Rishon to the scene of the accident, said: "There was a big commotion at the scene and the sight was shocking. We noticed dozens of injured people screaming for help from inside the bus, and some of them were lying down and walking around the bus. We saw a young man about 18 years old lying fully conscious When he was suffering from a very serious injury to his upper limbs, and next to him lay a 50-year-old woman, unconscious and not breathing, who suffered from a multi-system injury. With the help of our other teams that arrived on the scene, we gave the woman and the young man life-saving medical treatment and evacuated them to the hospital."
MDA paramedic Shay Murdoch, who was among the first to arrive at the scene, said: "The sight was very difficult. We saw a crushed bus and many injured people lying outside the bus. Inside the bus were trapped 3 female passengers who were unconscious and suffered from multi-system damage. We rescued 2 of them and the third was rescued with the help of the fire brigade. We gave them life-saving treatment and put them on the intensive care mobile that quickly evacuated them to the hospitals. We continued with the sorting of the wounded and the medical treatment."
MDA paramedic Erez Geller told Lahi Fe: "This is a very serious accident. We saw a crushed bus and a truck next to it. There were injured people with serious injuries, some of them inside the bus. We conducted an initial screening and began providing medical treatment to the wounded. A young woman about 20 years old who was fatally injured was without a pulse and not breathing and we started performing CPR on her. 6 more wounded also received life-saving medical treatment that included anesthesia and ventilation, and the rest of the wounded are being treated while they are conscious and suffering from various injuries, with their condition defined as moderate and mild."
A spokesman for the Israel Police told Lahi Fa:
"From a preliminary investigation, the bus driver swerved for an unknown reason, the involvement of the truck in the accident is being investigated. The traffic examiners are at the scene and are investigating the circumstances. The Haifa police assisted in opening the traffic routes to the three hospitals in the city of Haifa. The commander of the Coastal District was present at the scene and will conduct a situation assessment in the near future in order to determine the procedures The traffic during the dispersion of the spectators of the semi-final match taking place at the moment in the Sami Ofer Stadium near the Carmel Tunnels."
