Artists for Ukraine
"Haifa painters for Ukraine" It is the initiative of a culture coordinator in the Hadar community community center network and an internationally renowned artist in his own right, who represents Israel in exhibitions around the world - Victor Lipkin. Victor immigrated from Moscow in 1991. Although he is not directly related to Ukraine, he is very involved in what is happening and expresses sincere concern for the many victims.
Victor Lipkin says:
When the First Lebanon War took place and everyone was hiding in shelters, I was involved in fundraising for the injured and the needy in cooperation with the Haifa Municipality. Today's situation reminded me a lot of that terrible time. Instead of sitting back and watching what was happening from the sidelines, I decided to act for the Ukrainians.
Everyone immediately agreed
From the moment he decided, Lipkin contacted a number of artists from Haifa, Israelis and new immigrants, so that together they could lift the sale project. Everyone who received an application from Lipkin willingly agreed. No one refused.
Diverse works
At the event, works of art in different styles will be offered for sale. Except for the paintings, there will be art works in sewing, handicrafts and others. Victor stated that the starting price for the work will be NIS 50 and the proceeds will be transferred directly to an aid fund for the Ukrainian war victims. Payment will be made in cash or by credit card. With the purchase it will be possible to request a receipt.
