About the canine unit
The civilian canine unit is a volunteer association that deals in several areas: locating missing people throughout the country every day and a situation operated by the security forces or the families of the missing.
The unit routinely trains for functioning in emergency situations such as the collapse of houses as a result of an earthquake or earthquake and other special activities that we cannot detail for information security reasons.
In accordance with the requirements of the security system, the unit is located in the center of the country. The unit has trained dogs for searching and locating missing and dead people, a kennel for attack purposes and others.
The unit works voluntarily in any weather and in any extreme situation.
The unit needs volunteers in Haifa and the north not only for work. with dogs but only for volunteers who have the skills and training to navigate and search in different areas or to gather information. The unit also provides dogs to those who wish to join its services.
