Around 16:30 p.m., the MDA was notified of a girl who had collapsed in her home on Katznelson Street in Kiryat Ata. The MDA intensive care team that was called to the scene arrived in a short time and performed advanced resuscitation on the 8-year-old girl, who was eventually pronounced dead. The circumstances of the incident are unknown.
MDA paramedic Raz Diamond who arrived at the scene says that as a father of a child himself the appearance was not easy but he performed the advanced medical operations for which he was trained skillfully.
"The girl was found lying down with no signs of life, yet we performed advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations on her, who did not respond, and in the end, with all the pain, I had to pronounce her dead on the spot."
Apparently the girl inhaled helium from birthday balloons.
