On a bright summer day, on June 7, 1948, Lieutenant Avraham Schwartzstein and Kibbutz member Mira Ben Ari walked from among the ruins of Kibbutz Nitzanim towards the positions of the occupying Egyptian army. Three Egyptian officers went out towards the two young Israelis, accompanied by an Egyptian journalist, who would later become one of the most influential people in Nazarite Egypt and a cinematographer.
By the journalist's side, stood a cinematographer who documented the dramatic situation, the camera aimed at the surrenderers was supposed to provide an image of victory to the Arab world, but a surprising development changed the course of history.
This is the story of young people, from both sides.
One side, the volunteers of the Salvation Army - who arrived in Eretz Israel with complete faith, that they must save the Palestinian peasants who were dispossessed of their lands. On the other side are the members and members of Kibbutz Nitzanim - lively, opinionated, brave, and chaste, imbued with faith in the righteousness of their path, who found themselves on the path of assassination that history dictated to them.
