about the movie
The film follows Aharon (Shai Avivi, "The Chamber Five", "A Week and a Day") who dedicates his life to the care of his son Uri (Noam Imber, "The Commander"). The two live together in peace and harmony, far from everyone, with Aharon doing everything to protect Uri, a boy with special needs, from the outside world. But now, when Uri is growing up, it seems that the age has come when he should move to live in an environment suitable for people with similar needs to his. When they are on their way to the place that will be Uri's new home, Aharon feels that Uri is not ready for parting and the two change direction and go on a journey across the country - a journey that will change both of their lives, and bring Aharon to know his son and himself better.

"here we are"
"Here we are" is the new film of Nir Bergman ("Broken Wings", "The Internal Grammar"), one of the most respected creators in Israel, based on a script by Dana Idisis, creator of the masterful "On the Spectrum". A story about a father and son, about parenting and the difficulty of understanding when to let go, even when the time has come, starring the rising actor Noam Imber and Shai Avivi in an exciting, touching and gracious role. The film was selected to participate in the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and won four Ophir awards: for the director, the screenplay, and the best actors.
