Nesher Municipality continues the "Fire Trails" project, which is designed to protect the city from fires in accordance with the instructions the municipality received from the Coastal District Fire and Rescue Authority. As part of the project, forestry works began this week in the "Givat Nesher" area and are expected to last for about three months.
As part of the continuation of the "Fire Trails" project, which is designed to protect the city from fires, forestry work began this week in the "Givat Nesher" area using licensed pruning contractors, in accordance with the instructions the municipality received from the Coastal District Fire and Rescue Authority.
The works are carried out in coordination with KKL-Junk and the Nature and Parks Authority, in the park bordering the streets: Ma'afilim, Aliya and Rakfot, and near the "Beit Yehoshua" school, and they include: pruning, felling of trees and thinning of vegetation, for the purpose of making "fire trails" and creating buffer zones between The dense forest of the Carmel forests and the houses of the residents. The works are also intended to expand the access roads to the wooded area so that the fire services and other emergency services can provide a quick and efficient response in the event that, God forbid, a fire breaks out. The works are expected to last about three months.
