MDA CEO Eli Bin:
This year, the MDA forces were also in special preparation during the summer months in view of the many dangers associated with water sources. In just a few months, we had to deal with 248 cases in which citizens drowned at home, in a B&B, in the neighborhood pool, in the sea or in other water sources. We call on the children, the youth , for parents and caregivers - to be extra vigilant, to show responsibility and to swim only in declared water sources, supervised by authorized lifeguards in the field. It is important to remember that even after the bathing season, we must continue to bathe only in regulated places and take responsibility and caution when entering a water source, in order to protect our lives and the lives of our families.
