In preparation for the Tishrei holidays: Lev Hash Association is raising donations for the needy and lonely elderly in Haifa | An opportunity for Haifa to join and help

In preparation for the holidays, as every year, the Lev Hash Association invites the Haifa public to directly help thousands of needy and hard-working families, and lonely elderly people, so that in the coming holidays, nutritious and respectful holiday meals will be on their tables. 

As every year, the association helps over 1,500 families in need, children and the elderly, by distributing respectable food baskets. 

Since the outbreak of the Corona crisis, the association has also been helping hundreds of other families and children, who fell into an acute economic crisis due to the Corona, and lost their source of income. These families secretly turn to the association, and have been assisting it for over a year and a half, so this year more than ever, the donations that will reach the association will also be able to help families that were not supported by the association in previous years.

We work throughout the year with the needy and elderly populations in Haifa, with the aim of helping with food, alleviating loneliness, and humanitarian needs. We are happy and excited to join hands with hundreds of our Haifa volunteers and partners during these holidays as well, and to distribute thousands of food baskets to every home that needs our help. Unfortunately, poverty and neediness do not spare many homes in Haifa - even those that do not look like this at first glance - and I call on the wonderful Haifa public, who know how to express solidarity, to help us help those who need help. Each donation is translated directly into a respectable food basket, which will reach a family that needs it.

Lev Hash Association Has been working for over 24 years for the elderly, Holocaust survivors and the needy in Haifa, and operates, among other things, a chain of dental clinics for the needy and those entitled to a rehabilitation basket, a day club for elderly Holocaust survivors, projects at Rambam Hospital, for sick children and their families. The association also operates a furniture, housewares and electrical products center, for the benefit of the needy, in the association's building at 7 Yalgar St. in Hadar. Every year, thousands of needy people come to the center, and are equipped with respect from A to Z, with the help of donations of items from private individuals and organizations throughout Haifa. Helps over 10,000 people a year. 

These days, the association is building a hotel for children with cancer near Rambam Hospital, which will help the families of the hospitalized to get through the challenging period in their lives.
