The selection of the winning schools was made based on the weighting of a series of indicators in the values, social and academic fields, as well as according to the rate of improvement brought about by the educational institutions.
The municipal public schools Ironi A, All Israel Friends Alliance and Amit-Ironi V, are at the top of the list of schools selected for moral, social and academic achievements. In light of their achievements, the teaching staff at the winning schools will be rewarded with a monetary amount ranging from 3,166 NIS to approximately 8,443 NIS, this is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Education, the teachers' organization and the Ministry of Finance, within the framework of the "Oz Le Tamura" reform.
In the 2nd tier, the Hogis and Kiryat Haim urban high schools were selected, in the 3rd tier: Urban E, Urban C, Basmat, Alkarma High School, Nazareth Nuns and Carmel High School. The Hebrew Reali and Mar Elias Aposkopi were chosen for the 4th tier.
As mentioned, a significant part of the indicators according to which the schools that received the award were selected, were measured in comparison to their situation in the previous years and in accordance with the level of improvement that occurred in these areas in the academic year 2018.
Minister of Education, Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton:
The education system has been blessed with educators, administrators and teachers, who lead the students of Israel and march them to impressive achievements in all areas of life. These students are the future generation of the State of Israel. The winning educators establish the students' sense of belonging to the community, instill values in them and give them meaningful tools for life. I congratulate them for their educational work, which has a huge impact on the whole of Israeli society and the future of the State of Israel.
The district director at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Sa'ar Harel, commented on winning the award:
The recognition is the opportunity to honor the education teams for their activities for education in values, for recruitment to the IDF or for civil or national service, for education for the purity of exams, for fairness and contribution to society. The differential reward rewards schools that accept students from a wide variety of backgrounds, and which work to prevent dropouts and promote the student according to his abilities and not just in terms of eligibility for matriculation. The Ministry of Education rewards teachers for academic excellence, encouraging the learning of advanced subjects and quality teaching and increased teaching of scientific and humanistic subjects. well done!"
Proposes to change Leo Beck's name to "Hiroshima" after the asbestos removal.
You will see in 15-20 years when the extent of asbestos diseases among Leo Beck graduates and teachers due to the unnecessary evacuation becomes clear, how all those who are responsible for this unfortunate decision today will run away from responsibility and hide behind the law or the "it will be fine" of the Ministry for "Protection" of the environment.
Glad to hear that the schools in Haifa are improving.
At the same time, I am disappointed that Leo Buck, which excels in all indicators and is the leading school in the field, was not mentioned, and why? Because when you are excellent and at the top of the top in all indicators, there is nowhere to improve. A great injustice has been done to the wonderful teachers of Leo Buck and its administrators who literally give their lives for the students.
That's right, this manager destroyed Liobek in all aspects.
I don't understand why he is still in office?
Kudos to Klish
Urban and a good school cannot go together
It's a shame that you don't see what Baruch Yacovi, the director of the Ein Hayam school, did when students come to study at his school from the Carmel. What a special approach
There is for the education under his management in general and his students in particular.
All respect to the other managers is very encouraging, they really do a holy job, but there are other managers who no less deserve recognition for their work.
Food for thought !!!
What does this distinction mean?
After all, a school that was excellent before has a smaller margin to improve than a mediocre school, and a bad school has the biggest margin and therefore can still win an award for excellence in improvement and also remain bad.
In short, the tested indices and their absolute values in the various schools are missing, to remove conclusions about the quality of the tested schools
Why are you publishing Rabbi Ofek's response regarding the reason behind the asbestos affair?
By the way, the arts are also not on the list you published. Please check yourselves. Either two schools did not win or Sharat won and his blood should be mentioned. In any case, slight negligence in your posting.
