Avraham Hilleli, the late attorney
2021-1929
Attorney Avraham Hilleli, beloved of the city of Haifa, passed away at the age of 93
At the awarding of the Beloved of the City of Haifa award in 2016, it was said about the late Attorney Hilleli:
"Attorney Avraham Hilleli began his legal work, before receiving the license as a registrar and auditor of claims in the settlement and registration of real estate in the Galilee at the Ministry of Justice. After his certification, he began working as a legal advisor and manager of KKL-Junk real estate, national manager of KKL-Junk Real Estate and Himanota Ltd. until 1999.
Attorney Hilleli is an expert in real estate law, with extensive knowledge and vast experience in settlement laws known only to a few, and an authority on complicated and complex legal issues related to registration and rights in real estate. Hilleli conducted research, advised many and taught at the Technion and Haifa University. He served as a member of the World Center for Jewish Heritage Aram Tsova (Helab), and chairman of the Aram Tsova community in Haifa and a member of the board of the Sephardic Jewish community in Haifa.

Upon learning of his death, The director of the "Yad Ezer Heber" association, Shimon Sebag, wrote about Attorney Hilleli:
"It is with great sadness and gloomy grief that I learned of the passing of the dearest of people, a man of kindness and truth, the greatest of the generation, my dear friend and dear friend of the "Yid Ezer Heber" association, the late Avraham Hilleli. For many years I knew the late Avraham who was To me as a brother, a man who ascended to the Land of Israel from Syria on his own feet, a man who for many years and in fact from the day he was born, the verse "Love your neighbor as yourself" was fulfilled in him, a man of tremendous and immense giving for Holocaust survivors, the needy and in general for the sake of others and the community. I will reveal to you that this dear man has also helped me a great many times.
Attorney Hilleli was known for his pleasant manners and his great modesty, I loved talking with him and hearing his words and thoughts, for many years he gave and secretly helped the weak populations. He was knowledgeable in the Torah and Midrash and mastered the basics of the Hebrew language over his ignorance and for many years he engaged in writing and poetry that came from his heart in their glory. "Yad Ezer Heber", the survivors of the Holocaust, the residents of the "Warm Home of Holocaust Survivors" and all its employees and volunteers participate in the heavy sorrow and mourning of all the members of the Hilleli family and I am confident and I have no shadow of a doubt that the association "Yad Ezer Heber" will find the right way to perpetuate the memory of Avraham Hilleli, rip!
The late Avraham Hilleli - an honest and humble man, decent and wise, a great jurist in the field of real estate, a Zionist who contributed a lot to the Zionist enterprise and the redemption of land throughout the country, especially in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion.
Micah the prophet. Tell you man what is good and what God requires of you,
Because if you do a trial,
and loving kindness,
And modesty go with your God.
It was Avraham Hilleli.
Of blessed memory.
A humble man, a good man and a pleasant man. May his memory be blessed. Shabbat Shalom
A great and unique man of his generation
The crown of our head fell off
Avraham Hallel is a humble and pleasant person. We lost a dear person
Avraham Halleli, a dear man from the generation of the fallen who taught me a lot in the field of real estate, an honest and humble man with a huge heart, may his memory be blessed. Shlomo Tziz

Dear Latalia,
What does a person's origin have to do with honor? What is honor?
It is arrogance and pride to mention a person's academic title or occupation before his name.
You degrade the matter to the three pillars of Moroccan Bibiho: power, money and respect. Shame on the intelligence!
And by and large, it's time to change the name of the Human Dignity and Freedom Law to:
"The Law of Human Rights and Freedom".
He was a great scholar and one of the leading experts in land registration. Shame on Dabdin.
That's how it is with our Spanish brothers. Respect comes first, even though the deceased was modest in character and manners. The current chairman of the Spanish Jewish Community Association ("Chairman of the Community Committee"), YBLDA, Mr. Yosef Gilaur, is referred to as: "Attorney Gilaur". Why?.. His name is Yosef, why not address him, or mention him by name in contexts where his profession is not relevant?
In every line in which Avraham Hilleli's name was mentioned here it was also written attorney!!!
Studying law and holding a lawyer's degree does not require it to be affixed to his name, especially not after his death, and certainly not on his tombstone.
Just as there is no writing about a plumber who quits his profession, or an engineer or any other profession, certainly not a lawyer, a significant number of whom are seniors and lawyers.
Not to take an example than what is written on Bibi's father's tombstone as the title: "Great Historian".
My condolences to his family.
