A groundbreaking agreement was signed today (Tuesday 6/7/21) between the Histadrut Merhav Haifa and the management of the Neve Yosef community center in cooperation with the workers' committee.
Recently, the management of the community center and the employee representatives reached an impasse as part of the negotiations that have been held for the past 3 years. As a result, a labor dispute was announced last week at the Neve Yosef community center, as reported by Hai Pa - the news corporation on 30/6/21, with the end of the school year and the beginning of The holiday camps, something that raised the concern of the children's parents, who feared that the situation threatened the start of the camp activities.
The parties appeared today for a mediation meeting with the supervisor of labor relations in the Haifa and the North district, lawyer Nava Levy, who helped the parties to bridge the gaps and regulate the terms of employment of the after-school workers at the Neve Yosef community center.
As part of the agreement, the parties determined the terms of employment of the after-hours workers, their duties and rights, the social conditions were regulated and an outline of mutual cooperation was agreed upon between the management of the community center and the workers' committee.
