Students from the Department of Communication at Gordon Academy acquire practical and professional tools in writing, photography, editing and production live - The News Corporation
The Department of Communication at Gordon Academy continues to train its students to be leading educators in the field, alongside experience in the fields of media work.
In the meantime, this week the department started a collaboration with Hai Pa - the news corporation. From now on, students will undergo practical training (practicum) at the news corporation, which will allow them to acquire professional tools in writing, editing, photographing and producing news items.
The students will create quality content under close supervision on behalf of Hai Pa. The assumption is that a communications student with practical experience in the field will in the future train his students professionally and experientially, after gaining experience himself. Also, the practicum will give graduates a significant advantage in the world of work, and also, and above all, within the education system.
The first swallows are Gisal Ghanem, a student in the third year of the degree, and Shira Slutskin, a student in the second year. Their first meeting at Hai Pa included a professional conversation about different work techniques and creating a coordination of expectations with Nega and Yaron Karmi, the owners of the site.
Afterwards, other students who had already started the training, shared the experience of working in the field and acquiring professional tools. In the coming days, Gisal and Shira will be partners in preparing field reports.
