The former goalkeeper, Nir Davidovich, who was one of the legends of the Greens club, left it today (Sunday 20/06/21) after 27 years at the club. Davidovich served for the last 8 years as the goalkeeper coach for the senior team and also for the youth team, former goalkeeper Davidovich, recorded 485 games in the green uniform and played in it for 19 seasons. Nir Davidovich said: "I had the privilege of playing and coaching at the Maccabi Haifa football club for over 25 years. I always gave my all for the club and the fans.
I want to thank Yankel'a Shahar, Uzi Mor and all the club people I worked with. I wish the club success and I'm sure we'll meet in the future." Maccabi Haifa football club announced: "We thank Nir for his enormous contribution and wish him success."
In the meantime, it should be noted that Nir Davidovich joined Maccabi Haifa when he was a 9-year-old boy and he arrived at the senior team in 1994 and since then he has starred and recorded countless successful moments, titles and well-remembered games during his 19 years as a goalkeeper on the grass. After his retirement, he was employed as a goalkeeping coach at the club, first for the seniors and then worked in the youth department.
