Sa'ar 6 is one of a series of four new and advanced missile ships ordered by the Israeli Navy in 2015 from Germany to protect gas rigs and maritime trade routes
During the coming months, the process of installing the combat systems on the ship will be completed at the Sea Arm Shipyard in Haifa, which will enable its operational use.
Live broadcast | A ceremony in honor of the arrival of Achi Oz • Navy | Watch
The ceremony to mark the ship's arrival was attended by the Minister of Defense, Mr. Benny Gantz, and the Commander of the Naval Arm, Major General Eli Sharvit. In addition, a team of Achi Oz fighters who returned to Israel with the ship took part in the ceremony.

From the words of the Minister of Defense, Mr. Benny Gantz:
You who are standing here, fought in the operation combined arms with all the troops as part of the operation concept of multidimensional combat. This is just an example, of the innovation, of the operational capabilities that the Navy is developing. An example of the strength we are ready to use on various fronts, including the Lebanese front, and far from that, in the face of attempts to arm our enemies and deploy weapons that would improve stability in the region. The possibility of developing these capabilities is derived from a long-term view, and the ability to preserve them and gain an advantage against our enemy requires us, as a political echelon, to promote a multi-year plan, which will allow certainty and development for the IDF on its arms.

From the words of the Commander of the Sea Arm, Major General Eli Sharvit:
The commanders of Achi Oz and its fighters are placing another cornerstone in Israel's naval defense wall. The ships that join the ranks of the armed forces are necessary for us like air to breathe - when the security picture is constantly changing and new threats raise their heads. There is no doubt that Achi Oz, like its sisters, is a technological marvel, but, just as it is a symbol of progress, it is also a symbol of extensive collaborations and human strength that crosses borders.

Before entering the port of Haifa, a festive reception was held at sea in which ships of the Carmel sailing community and others will participate. A ship that Ahi Oz passes by will honk and bless it with a bond.
The first ship, Ahi Magen, was already handed over to the Navy in November 2020 and the second, Ahi Oz, arrived, as mentioned, this morning 9/6/21, at the port of Haifa, sailing directly from Crete and on board Brigadier General Shlomo (Momo) Cohen Chairman The Carmel boating community.

Shlomo (Momo) Cohen, Brigadier General in the Navy Reserve, Commodore and Chairman of the Carmel Sailors Association:
Today, Tuesday 9/6/21, the Achi Oz, the second of a group of four Saar 6 ships, arrived in Haifa. I was blessed and invited to join part of the voyage from Crete to Haifa. From the perspective of over 40 years, the change that has taken place in the Navy is impressive and very encouraging The staff is professional, smart, accommodating and works like a well-oiled machine. About 25 percent of the staff are women. On our way we passed over the site of the sinking of Ahi Dekar, the grandson of the submarine Reser Nissim Cohen who serves as a crew member in Achi Oz threw a flower and spoke addressing the crew. I told the crew members about My brother Dekar for the search for the invention and even for the commemorative project that includes the Dekar cruises. It was extremely exciting. We have a developing and advanced fleet. It's fun to see the technological changes alongside the tremendous improvement and progress in the field of manpower. Good luck to my brother Oz and her sisters and the entire navy.

Hi, the ceremony is not available for viewing, why?
I hope that Israel will know how to produce such ships on its own, but it is very good to increase military presence everywhere in order to protect our country everywhere and at all times, so I salute and wish success to the navy
How does it happen that in a country with such advanced technology, state-of-the-art military equipment, an iron dome that intercepts missiles -
It is impossible to walk the streets of Hadar Carmel without encountering incitement in Arabic against the state, enemy flags, stones being smashed
Glass, signs sprayed with anti-state slogans, and a wall above the post office full of bullet wounds from the 2006 missiles.
So how exactly do we get security from all these rituals and tools.???
If IDF soldiers are scared to come to Hadar Carmel to maintain order and security????
An amazing ship but a disgraceful order - the soldiers move like wolves, the Minister of Defense's boarding of the ship was conducted like a school trip... historical status, couldn't it be rehearsed in advance?
More the better
Really amazing and exciting in itself.
Well done Momo for the respectful representation, and your words about girls' basketball.
Good luck to all involved.
We paid to protect the tycoons who don't give us a dime?
Thanks for the information, exciting, which will only be used for training. We will be very happy. ??
Cheers to mommy. Childhood friend.
