in the authorized cemetery
Har-Evan was very seriously injured in the riots in Acre last month, he was transferred to Rambam suffering from burns and smoke inhalation and was sedated and ventilated throughout the hospitalization. Finally, Har-Evan passed away with his close family by his side.
The late Har-Evan, who passed away at the age of 84, held senior positions in the aerospace industry during the 80s and 90s, and served as director of the Israel Space Agency between 1995-2004.

From 2008, the late Avi Har-Evan served as a senior research fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University.
At the same time, the late Har-Evan was engaged in extensive public activity as a member of the executive committee of the association "Atid Sefer" which works to promote youth leadership and entrepreneurship to prevent victims of violence and online bullying.

Avi Belizovsky, a journalist and space explorer who knew Mount Evan well, told Lahi Fe:
He did his business quietly, always giving the impression that he was serving us and not just the government. There was a time when it was just him at the space agency, he was not the first CEO, but the first to start the projects and collaborations such as those with the Japanese. All the things that we take for granted today... it was important to him to accompany the Ramon family during the difficult times. Our relationship is more than a journalist and an interviewee, he always spoke at eye level and always helped in various fields. I miss him very much, he was a humble person despite all his achievements, I will miss him very much.

The Har-Evan family would like to thank the hospital staff for the dedicated and professional care of my father over the past few weeks, in addition to the many who prayed and prayed for his safety.
The funeral today (Mon. 07/06/2021) at 17:00 at the licensed cemetery.
I hope to see at the funeral of this dear man Jewish and Arab public figures who will thereby symbolize the shock of such criminal and murderous acts whose purpose is to destroy the common life here and to sow mutual hatred, terror and fear!
A man of his wits and above.
Of blessed memory
