The Master Code Plus competition was held in collaboration with Matach, Intel and the Jerusalem Municipality
These days, a national competition between the schools that teach with the Code Plus series, through the development of Scratch applications, on the subject of dreams, in the 4th and 6th graders, the next generation of code writers, has ended on the initiative of Matach, and in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality and Intel.
In the competition, Shaoli Sultan and Elroei Nidam, from Kiryat Ata, my 5th grade students, at the Mamed Noam school, won for writing a code.
They developed the code following their personal dream, to become well-known and renowned programmers. Shauli and Elroei are excellent students in computer classes, with flight and creative thinking. They thought, designed and created a complex and sophisticated applet, which contains three more different games that were programmed and built with great talent. The two young programmers worked with vigor and determination and overcame various challenges and bugs that arose while working.

In the Code Plus series, thousands of students - learn to write code by building Scratch games and videos from MIT, Boston. The students learn to create code in a colorful environment and they acquire 21st century skills with an emphasis on self-learning and technologies, which are necessary tools at this time. This is the second year in which the program, approved by the Ministry of Education, takes place in schools, when several municipalities have chosen to join it. This is in addition to the Intel volunteers who accompany some of the schools during the learning process and the computer science students at the Hebrew University who teach as part of the Farah project operated by the Jerusalem Municipality, which also hosts the competition.
Master Code Plus is the culminating event of the Code Plus program and bright young people from about 50 schools from all over the country are expected to participate in it. In the competition, the students will develop applications in the environment while demonstrating multiple skills. The categories contested are: design and illustration, animation, story, game and code. In the competition, students will be able to choose a personal, emotional or social topic.
Simona Hall Stein, head of the computer science team at Matach:
Students don't just consume technology, let alone create it. Great to see kids at a young age enjoying app development. For them, this is an opportunity to experiment with research and learning in a variety of fields while developing self-study skills and above all to enjoy the experience - all in a clear, efficient, smart and creative code.

Ofer Sandrowitz, the volunteer leader on Scratch at Intel:
It's fun to see how the group of talented kids I work with, solve complex problems and work as a team while helping each other to create learning games for students from lower grades in the school to play.
The final event of the competition took place with the participation of YouTuber Idan Telam "Inda Game", and a professional judging committee that includes coders from Intel, representatives from the Jerusalem Municipality, and experts from Metah who announced the winners. The event was held as part of World Scratch Week.
