The concerned residents of Mesada Street demand that the situation be addressed immediately. At the same time, the Hadar Carmel council is making efforts to improve the security situation in the neighborhood in front of the Haifa municipality. Dana Goldring, the founder of the project "Lights up at night" last week held a tour with the representatives of the municipality on the topic of personal security in the neighborhood.
A mother of children who has lived on Masada Street for about four years, says that in the last four months the level of violence in the neighborhood has increased. "As a resident of the neighborhood, I wonder if it is safe for me and my family to stay here and raise my children. We are young people at the beginning of our journey, with the potential to make the neighborhood a pleasant and good place, but my friends and neighbors are also thinking about whether to leave due to the situation. There should be a presence here of factors that do Enforcement and order. People want to feel protected in their homes and outside of them. This is treatment that does not tolerate delay or waiting for the budget."

The efforts of the Hadar Carmel Council in cooperation with the Haifa Municipality and the Haifa Police
In the past year, the Hadar Carmel Council carried out various activities to change the deteriorating security situation in the neighborhood: a demonstration was held in front of the police station in Hadar and meetings were held with the former Haifa station commander Amir Goldstein, a series of meetings were held with the district commander and his predecessor Moshe Adler and a meeting with the security coordinator of the Haifa municipality. The Hadar Carmel council held tours with the director general of the municipality and the head of the operations manager. In addition, the police representatives offered the residents to enlist as volunteers for the neighborhood watch.
