The Haifa picnic - the first event of its kind was celebrated today (19.6.15) in Haifa

Today (June 19.6.15, XNUMX), at the initiative of Haifa City Council member Einat Kalish Rotem, a new tradition began in Haifa.

Einat Kalish Rotem initiated a first urban picnic of its kind on the steps of Omar El Khayam Street in Haifa. The atmosphere was somewhat Parisian, but the idea was taken by Einat Kalish Rotem from the streets of the Acropolis in Greece and adopted by Haifa.

In Haifa there are many places where you can have urban picnics, the mountains of Haifa have a forest around it and it lies in a green nature where you can walk all year round, streams and meadows full of plants, trees, flowers and animals. If only we would invest more in our city and turn it from a red working town into a green tourist city.

At the first urban picnic, the residents of the city were invited to join, and each of the invitees brought food that he had prepared for years, there were cakes, cookies, coffee, soft drinks, salads, pies, even wild strawberries someone brought from his garden.

There was also pleasant music, and there was talk of a desire to establish a tavern and a cafe on Omar El Khayam Street. The old Bezeq building is for sale and a boutique hotel will be built in place of what used to be the main center of Haifa.

In the hope that a plan for the place and its development from a tourist point of view will be realized, for me as a photographer I would love to go there to take pictures again and again.
