An order prohibiting the lighting of bonfires at given times and areas throughout the country, due to extreme conditions that increase the likelihood of fires starting and spreading while endangering human life and property
Fire and Rescue Commissioner Dadi Shamchi:
The purpose of the order is to reduce harm to human life and property, understanding the gravity of the responsibility, and the dangers involved in lighting fires in open areas and in the urban space. I call on the public to show responsibility and celebrate the holiday in accordance with the life-saving safety guidelines we have established. The climate in Israel requires raising public awareness of the dangers associated with lighting fires and responsible behavior in nature.

Commissioner of Fire and Rescue Rabbi Tafser Dadi Simchi signed this morning (22.04.21) an order prohibiting the lighting of bonfires, including lighting fires in open areas.

In recent years, restrictive orders have been issued that were welcomed by the local authorities dealing with the devastating results of the LG B'Omer bonfires, and many of them have asked for a similar order to be issued this year as well.
Israel Fire and Rescue emphasizes:
The last winters, which were blessed with precipitation, led to the spread of grasses, which are a dangerous fire load for people, the environment and property." Every year, tens of thousands of fires ignite in open areas, causing ecological and economic damage estimated at billions of shekels.

B. In areas that have been trained for the purpose of lighting bonfires and lighting fires in open areas by the local authorities and have received approval from the National Fire and Rescue Authority and subject to the special conditions listed below.
In the places where bonfires were allowed to be lit as detailed above, the lighting will be done subject to what is detailed below:

- A bonfire that is not in a hole-
A. The distance between the campfire and the forest will exceed 300 meters.
B. A bonfire will not be lit in any forest or grove area, even if a designated area has been allocated for it.
third. The distance between a campfire and gas and fuel facilities will exceed 40 meters.

G. The size of the base of a campfire should not exceed 3 meters. The height of the pile of combustible materials used for the fire should not exceed 1.5 meters from the ground.
(This order comes to add to the provisions of the regulations, not to detract from them, and it is required to be careful to fulfill them). Regarding the Miron site, special conditions will be determined by the commander of the North District. - In order to remove any doubt, there is no objection to light a fire in a designated facility for preparing food (barbecue) and in the approved places for this.
Fire and Rescue Commissioner Dadi Shamchi directed the operational elements to increase operational vigilance in the field during the holiday days. The fire fighters and fire prevention inspectors went to the city centers to enforce the instructions and ensure that the holiday passes without loss of property and life.
Instructions for a safe barbecue:

Safety instructions for a safe and happy holiday:

God bless and thank God. Celebrate in a way that respects and preserves the environment. ! Well done. The farmer will be enforced, and it will be customary to celebrate in a considerate way. It is also educational..thank you very much. I am sure you will find a way to celebrate in a joyful and considerate way while respecting human and animal life
The comments here about how 'poor' the children are if they don't light a huge madoka and we all suffocate from it - are amazing in their stupidity.
Shame on the state, why don't they file an appeal in court
It's illegal and not in North Korea
It is indeed correct to cancel the custom of the mattras in Lag B'Omer.
There is no need to cause damage and an environmental and safety hazard
Just as the primitive custom of a hen for atonement was abolished, so must the bonfires be abolished.
Alternatively,
You can rejoice with barbecues as we did on Independence Day.
Really inconsiderate of the children anyway, they had nothing this year, no Hanukkah, no Purim, and no Pesach, the children are waiting impatiently for the holiday of Omer, making plans, collecting trees....and nothing, just a lack of consideration.
Of course bonfires will be lit
Stop ruining Israel's holidays
