About two years ago, a wing (hostel) for the rehabilitation of sex offenders was opened at the Ma'ale Carmel mental health center in Carmel Castle. The residents of the city started a struggle against its opening and demonstrated numerous times demanding to close it, but until today, nothing has progressed on the issue.
At the beginning of the week in the morning, the resident of the city, a mother of children, saw, according to her, in the rowers' neighborhood, one of the Kurido brothers standing in Ariel Sharon square and waiting for a taxi that stopped next to him. The mother previously volunteered in the civil guard about ten years ago, when she met one of the Corrido brothers when the police arrested him and discovered dozens of acts of pedophilia and rape of minors. From that meeting his face was etched in her memory.
The Corrido brothers are serial sex offenders and are considered one of the most dangerous pedophiles in Israel, who have already been sentenced to prison terms in the past.
"I'm anxious at crazy levels. I have two daughters and this person is walking around freely. He has hundreds of indictments for incest and acts of pedophilia, it stresses me out. This is a person who does not control his instincts," says the mother.
She wrote a warning message to parents in the neighborhood. The announcement caused panic among the parents, who came to pick up their children from the schools so that they would not go alone and without supervision. "If they move around among us, it's a ticking time bomb, it's only a matter of time," she says.
