The Israel Ports Company will rehabilitate Julius Simon Road in Haifa
About two weeks ago, Haifa - the news corporation, published an article about the Julius Simon road in Check Post in Haifa, which, due to the many open potholes along its length, causes damage to the vehicles passing by it and even poses a real danger to drivers.
The road, on which the damages are caused, apparently, due to heavy work vehicles that pass by it regularly, was designated by the Ministry of Transportation in the area of the Israel Ports Company Sign Authority, which did undertake to restore it.
The company's commitment to rehabilitate the road was accepted at a recent meeting between representatives of the Israel Ports Company and the Haifa City Engineer, following the Ministry of Transportation's decision to authorize the Israel Ports Company as the road sign authority.
At a meeting held recently with the participation of representatives of the Israel Ports Company and the director of engineering at the Haifa municipality, the city engineer clarified that the responsibility for the restoration of the road rests with Hani in light of the heavy damage caused by the trucks during the construction of the Gulf port.
Haifa Mayor Einat Kalish Rotem:
The demand for the restoration and stratification of Julius Simon is a preliminary condition for the continuation of the works. Following the uncompromising demand of the municipality, Hani will begin the restoration of the street along its entire length.
Israel Ports Company (Haani) reported to Lehi Pa:
After months of efforts to coordinate with the municipality, the Israel Ports Company begins work to restore Julius Simon Street. This is an accelerated implementation that will start in the next week.
The Israel Ports Company will begin this week the restoration of the access roads to the Gulf port. These are existing roads that will serve the port island temporarily, until the completion of the port connection project which is in progress. The works are starting after multiple efforts to coordinate with the municipality, on an accelerated schedule, in preparation for the opening of the port later this year. The Israel Ports Company will be able to promote the works after it has been certified by the Ministry of Transportation as a traffic sign authority - which allows it to operate autonomously on the said roads.
The works on Julius Simon Street will include asphalt restoration, restoration and upgrading of the Yigal Yadin / Itin intersection - which will facilitate the movement of vehicles and improve the quality of travel for all road users.
Already this evening (Monday, 1/3/21) the preparation will begin to make geometrical changes at the intersections of the streets Yigal Yedin Yehuda Itin and Yehuda Itin Emanuel Fortuna. In the coming week, the works will also be extended to Julius Simon Street. During the works, the travel routes will be reduced in various sections, and drivers are advised to use waze. The Israel Ports Company makes every effort to minimize the disruption to drivers during the works as much as possible.
The works on Julius Simon Road are expected to last several weeks.
Changes in traffic regulations in Haifa Bay The Port Connections Project Israel Ports Company - Hani
CEO of the Israel Ports Company, Shlomo Beriman, said:
"These are the last and most vital preparations for the opening of the Gulf Port, and the Israel Ports Company is preparing to carry them out on an accelerated schedule. The restored roads and upgraded intersections will meet the logistical needs of the port's customers and will significantly ease the residents of the area."
Municipal Auditor's Report 2019 Road Safety Office in Haifa Municipality was budgeted for 1.1 million NIS, only 500,000 was used because there is no organized headquarters. The activity was paralyzed, there are no work plans for two years. Everyone who was supposed to handle it left the municipality.
Do an investigation on the subject.
The number of accidents despite the corona closures is constantly increasing in 2020 as a percentage of all trips there is a jump in accidents.
And if you see, for example, the crumbling stadium road, which is a main road between Haifa and Kiryat, you can understand why it is red. The most disturbed main road in the city in Israel without a doubt.
Julius Simon is a road for trucks only!!!! Who needs the rehabilitation of this road? To all the devils and smells .... Yigal Yadin road after the stadium street next to Techni where all the vehicles travel this road must be upgraded !!!!
It's a shame how Klish bullies small businesses like the Israel Ports Company, for their tremendous contribution to the prosperity of the city of Haifa. She should restore the road with her own money and resign immediately! Avihu Han is working right now on a proposal to settle the issue.
Kiryat Haim is barely alive..
Motzkin and Bialik are flourishing with thousands of new residents
The villas in Kiryat Chaim are barely worth less than small apartments in Motzkin because of the neglect and nearby pollutants.
Must act!
We are being sold cheap, all Kiryat Haim money is promiscuous in Haifa, we must say goodbye, we do not invest in Kiryat Haim and in particular not in the West
Enough with the occupation! of Kiryat Haim.
All the roads with patches and potholes are crumbling day by day, but suddenly it's important to you to take care of the port visitors? let them not come.
And now a contractor close to criminals will mix materials for savings and no one will speak, everything is rotten...
It is urgent to rehabilitate the western Kiryat Haim roads as well. Roads that have not been maintained since the days of Mapai.
In other words, it is important to understand that a new municipality grew up in place of the Haifa municipality: Hani municipality, the city of ports.
Now the road signs are owned by her
Does the Haifa municipality give up this area? Right balance??
Did someone choose Hani to manage the city's roads???
Better late than never!!
But what about Fisherman's Street? Who is responsible for it?
Pits, holes, and puddles after the rain!
The road from the stadium to the Technical College on Yigal Yedin Street is much more ruined and dangerous and more disrupted and busier. It should have been paved before
Welcome initiative!
It is important to note that the asphalt contractors cheat
And mix the tar with bigger stones than you really need!
This is how it always happens that the asphalt begins to crumble immediately with the first rain... and in a short time all the stones crumble...
Shame on a mayor who ignores nothing but absolutely nothing, imperviousness to everything whether it's the roads or sidewalks or even the residents of the city, shame shame on us from such management by a mayor
This woman is completely delusional, what is Julius Simon, who drives this road anyway, what about Shad Yigal Yedin from the stadium?
All is well and good, the only question is when it will be done: before the coming of Messiah or after - before the mayoral elections (2023) or after them.
And what about the Histadrut road in every direction, a main axis for many cars traveling on it, a destroyed road. From Egged station to the Ata intersection, re-paving is needed. Plasters are constantly being added to plasters.
The time has come.. It is simply unbearable to drive on this road..
Let's hope that the nightmare on this damned road will end. Just the other day I drove there and prayed that nothing bad would happen to the tires.
There are many damaged roads that cause a lot of damage to cars and must be restored.
When, for God's sake, will the neglected streets of Kiryat Haim also receive this honor?!
At the end of Ben Zvi St., (before the railway junction) potholes covered with tar, which crumbles with the rain,
The road leading to the back of Beit Nagler, to the training ground,
The road that leads from Beit Nagler to Migdal Or,
more and more….
What a shame and disgrace, the taxes of the residents of Kiryat Haim are "burned" by the Haifa municipality for the sake of other neighborhoods in the city!!!
