The wild boar calving season - a glimpse of the future
A photo taken by Gili Segev from Haifa, from the window of her home in the central Carmel area: mother wild pigs, lying comfortably under the sun's rays and nursing their piglets.
There is no doubt that the photo itself brings a smile, but the truth is that it is a worrying sight for the Haifaites. The wild boars in the city continue to breed unhindered, because in practice no proper treatment is carried out to stop the phenomenon. What we see in the photo taken by Segev simply gives us a glimpse of what is happening, presumably, in Haifa as a whole. As every year, in these months - February March, comes the calving period of the wild pigs, which brings with it a significant increase in the number of pigs in the city.
New pig families fill Haifa watch
These pigs will grow up fast…
We will meet these piglets, who may seem lovable and harmless at the moment, shortly after they grow up, and the meeting with them, one can assume, will already be less pleasant.

Yaron Hanan, Haifa Neighborhood Headquarters Center for the return of pigs to the wild said Lahi Fe – The News Corporation:
As every year in the months of February-March, after the breeding season we get the littering season of wild boars and they raid the neighborhoods, yards and streets in droves, hungry and determined to get as much food as possible.
But, every year their number only increases. Even last winter, more pigs were seen than in a normal year.
The females are very dangerous when they are in the company of the puppies and any proximity that is not interpreted correctly by the female mother, may end in a very dangerous attack, or in acts of intimidation that will leave anyone who encounters a pig weighing 200 kg or more puffing nervously in front of you.
This blow in Haifa, which should have been dealt with effectively already two years ago, only increases every year and the lack of hand, disdain and lack of understanding of the mayor, only strengthens the result on the ground.

This is a terrible omission that is managed in a hooligan way by the impersonal leadership of a municipality. In their plight, they have long since given up on fulfilling the written promises we received from the municipal officials, and despite this, Klish is trying to plaster and smear the public through the municipal spokeswoman, to no avail of course.
This is how it is when dealing with the plague goes from the operations personnel to the PR personnel and the spins.
Haifa is already considered throughout the country the "city of pigs" and Klish signs this "achievement", which is entirely hers.
Mayors of other cities have successfully dealt with harmful wild animal raids with a serious and completely different approach, and have proven that it is possible to significantly reduce the amount of wild animals in general and pigs in particular, if only they are willing to act on a broad front, at the same time and by investing all the necessary resources when the urban priorities are correctly calculated...
Our struggle will continue and the last word has not yet been said.

The Nature and Parks Authority informed Lai Pa:
The phenomenon of wild animals roaming, among them wild pigs in cities and settlements, including in Haifa, results from the wild animals' search for available and easy-to-get food, which originates from human waste. The Nature and Parks Authority is taking a number of actions on the subject, including providing professional instructions to the authorities on how to reduce the phenomenon, among other things by sanitation actions such as: ensuring the settlement's area is clean, closing garbage cans, frequent garbage removal, controlled watering of gardens with an emphasis on the morning hours, and prohibition Feeding animals by the residents, including leaving food and water flasks on the sidewalks. In addition, it is proposed to examine additional measures such as a physical demarcation between the city area and the nearby open areas as well as spot thinning of the wild boar population. This is also done in front of the Haifa municipality.
Adherence to sanitation and the additional actions should reduce the phenomenon and minimize the entry of wild boars into settlements.
Cute...smart...and if not scary or threatening they don't do anything....they are just like us mammals...thirsty and hungry...and want to live.
The pigs do a good job
Bins should be closed in a room or a serious bin that cannot be opened
That way pigs and many other pests will not come
In short, stop throwing garbage
But make sure that the garbage does not spread easily
Such cute, disciplined and smart people, all in all they want to eat, don't call them because they too have a maternal instinct like any mother who cares about her children, it's a refreshing sight, and the responsible parties must find an adequate solution, return them to nature, build feeding places, and somewhat fence off petting areas . Don't exaggerate the descriptions, the one who gets hurt is the one who gets teased.
Anyway, Klish is done with us, not doing anything at all.
Perfect sweet cuties
Thank God that there is some nature left in Haifa
More animals and nature
Less concrete and human evil
Yana responded to the point, all the more than they are trying to know and take an issue that has been going on for years and turn it into a political issue and a tool for mocking and not with the aim of solving things.
The car races of Arabs around the city and violent behavior including shooting worries me thousands of times more than two hundred pigs.
I prefer thousands of pigs who are essentially animals than people who behave not like humans but like the last of the animals (I apologize for the insult....)
The Nahal Givorim project is wonderful. The problem is that it is a Yona Yahav project. The mayor is trying to erase everything the previous mayor started. Her ego is stronger than the good of the citizens and the city.
It's a shame that someone doesn't continue the Nahal HaGivori project. Donkeys and deer could be released there along with wild boars and make a greedy corner there like in Jerusalem and other places, but there is no one to do that.
Let the pigs choose their own representative in the municipality. After all, they are "Haifai pigs", residents of Haifa!
cute That the Haifa people stop usurping areas from the nature of the pigs and that the pigs will not come near them. your fault Let the living live to hell
I guess the pigs come to eat and not to walk in Haifa....
The action that needs to be carried out is to bring the food into the forest and thus the pigs will not be forced to come.
It does require logistics but it is worth injuring or killing a person at the hands of an angry pig or alternatively killing the animal.
It is clear to us that it will be expensive to see the city in office in the next elections because the residents are simply unhappy and will not vote for it anymore due to its incompetence in the matter.
Proposal for Haifa Municipality
Inspectors with an anesthesia arrows license can be formed
Collect the pigs and send to a country that prefers pork
and exchange for cows or get money and develop the community
Nonsense in raspberry juice, a bunch of bored people who are looking for some piglets to get a little show, don't understand what the problem with the pigs is, it looks pretty good with the hypocrisy of the Ashkenazim (leftists) the slaves are only looking to stir up trouble and provocations
Would you like to be interrupted breastfeeding a lady. Or do you belong to an upper breed that only he is allowed to do everything?
Does anyone know how long the pig lives? And where are they buried?
It is true that they are nice and fun to look at, but gentlemen, it is dangerous to walk around the streets after dark, especially if you go out with a dog and the dog will probably bark at them.
I decided after a meeting with a pig that in the evening I go out with my dog just a meter from the house. And it's also animal cruelty for my dog who happens to walk on all fours
We need a solution, I don't know what, but we need a solution!!!
Take them out of this meme, it's very dangerous. Or destroy them
