An eviction lawsuit against Lev Hash Association was filed today, Wednesday 27/1/21, by the Haifa Municipality, to the Magistrate's Court
The municipality asks the court to order the association to vacate the place from which it operates assistance activities for the needy, the elderly and the sick, in the Hadar neighborhood in Haifa. In the statement of claim, the Municipality of Haifa claims (among other things) that the association refused to sign all the documents it was required to sign, in accordance with the allocations procedure • The Municipality of Haifa communicated to Haifa: The statement of claim [including the procedures carried out against the association] speaks for itself.
(The full statement of claim is presented later in the article).
Watch an interview from the studio with Dekla Cohen-Michali - CEO of the association:

The holy work of Lev Hash
There is only one way to define the activity of Lev Hash: sacred work. The canvas is too short to contain the amount of work invested by Lev Hash, by its many volunteers, the help they provide, around the clock and for many years, to help those in need , for the sick, children and adults, for the indigent, families who are having a hard time, and much more, when the thing that drives all this activity is one thing: assistance and donation to anyone who needs it.
Attached at the bottom of the article are several articles published in Hai Pa, about the activities of this important association, and believe us, all of these are just a drop in the ocean.
Lev Hash 2020 | A small taste of the activity • Watch
The Corona crisis and the expanding circle of poverty
These days Lev Hash is working with increased vigor in order to recruit more and more volunteers, since the Corona crisis has brought more and more families and residents into the circle of poverty, who before the crisis were still keeping their heads above water and perhaps even enjoying economic and social stability. This goes beyond the needy who were helped by the association (and there were many ), prior to the outbreak of the corona virus that brought many to the point of starvation. If so, the timing in which the Haifa municipality chose to claim the eviction of the property from the association, which also needs all the help it needs in its activities these days, is even more puzzling.
International Holocaust Day
And if we add another embarrassing anecdote about the timing - International Holocaust Day (27/1/21), the day chosen to file a lawsuit against an association that greatly helps Holocaust survivors... it already sounds like an unimaginable farce.

Dekla Cohen Michaeli, CEO of Lev Hash Association, told Lahi Fe:
The eviction lawsuit has not yet reached the association and when it arrives we will treat it legally as requested.
However, I am amazed that in a time of crisis, when everyone is locked in their homes and many of them are in distress and turn to us for assistance, while hundreds of volunteers are running around and investing all their strength to help the thousands who turn to us, at a time when we are busy providing assistance to the residents of Haifa who have been affected by the corona and responding to thousands of inquiries that reach us from the welfare offices of the municipality, the Haifa municipality chooses to file a puzzling eviction lawsuit after nearly 20 years the association has been in the building and from it maintains extensive welfare activities for the needy, the elderly, Holocaust survivors, sick children and their families and many other residents.
Even this lawsuit will not stop us, God forbid, from continuing this tremendous enterprise for the benefit of all sectors and populations in Haifa.

A volunteer in the heart of Chas said to Lahi Pa:
In the past year, the Lev Hesh association spent days and nights to feed and support the residents of the city of Haifa, who fell victim to the corona epidemic. To hear that Haifa Municipality wants to stop the association's activities and take the association's structure for other needs, is simply unimaginable! What is more important now than supporting food, equipment, furniture, dentistry, for the weakest populations in the city? For what purpose does the municipality of Haifa need the building? For schools that don't work? Why? The Haifa municipality should return quickly and stop the closure of Lev Hesh association.

A school for the neighborhood children
According to the Haifa Municipality, the Lev Hash Association has taken possession of the aforementioned property, while it belongs to it, and when there is no agreement between the association and the municipality authorizing it to make any use of it, and it holds it illegally.
The municipality, according to her, has applied several times to Lev Hash Association, so that it would vacate the place and return it to its possession, with the goal being to allocate the building for the benefit of a school for the children of the area.
The association refused to fulfill the demand, according to the municipality, and it continues to illegally own the municipal property. Therefore, the municipality of Haifa has no choice but to ask the court for the aforementioned eviction order.

Hello to all those who are interested, I have been volunteering at Lev Hesh Association for about 11 years and in your house we have given help to thousands of underprivileged people with clothing for children, adults, eloquence, electrical goods, and everything needed for the home, as well as dentistry, food distribution, and also cooked according to the reactions of those in need, it is necessary for them as air to breathe , since they live on amounts that are hard to believe that a family can survive on this amount, the municipality knows about this and refers those in need to us, the place exists and all those who need it come to it, and another point is the treatment of patients in very difficult wards, thanks for doing it Thank you and I am proud to be part of the volunteers of Lev Hesh
The Lev Hesh association has been holding Marom for 24 years, what happened just now
Evacuation and more in the lawsuit?
The association is in the heart of a poverty-stricken area that grew during the Corona period and is accessible to those who need it.
A little compassion for those in need!!! Leave her in her place and find an alternative to school!! Does not make sense? Isn't it a shame about legal expenses? You can donate them to Heart Hes.
The finger was light on the trigger, you can always go back and undo the injustice that may have occurred.
Writer out of pain, retired social worker
Political lessons must be drawn for the upcoming Knesset elections. Haifa and Kiryat are worth 6-7 mandates!! That's a lot.
Voting for the major parties = they will all sit with Shas and Torah Judaism, the sectarian extortion and ultra-Orthodox religious fanaticism will be enormous.
Voting for the left parties = they will all enter the joint list, the sectarian blackmail and Islamic religious fanaticism will be enormous.
What are the conclusions?
vote only for politicians who promise not to lean on the ultra-Orthodox / shared as a Libra language..
We must therefore make a difficult decision. There is no ideal. But the only one at the moment who says this openly is Lieberman
The municipality must give everyone who helps its residents an alternative place so that they can continue to help. The school for the children of the Balza Hasidim is important!!! The adjacent building is used as a school but is too small to accommodate. Their small children are forced to travel unreasonable distances. They live in the vicinity of the building that was used as an "Etzion" school in the past, but not at the expense of charity...
The municipality of Haifa acts with an unimaginable heartlessness, towards an activity so important as to be exciting, of one of the most important associations in Haifa, which does holy work, instead of the activity of the municipality or the government, after 20 years of activity there.
bordering on obscurity and heart-wrenching malice.
Rafol. Your response is missing, I wonder why?
Heart tightness?
I'm not happy with Klish looking forward to election day either
The current government is not good for Haifa
Only trouble
An association that does holy work.
The welfare is supported by Lev Hesh association.
How low can Haifa municipality go?
From the day she took office as the city authority, everything she does is bad for the city's residents.
Mrs. Klish, it's time for you to wake up
For some reason it seems that in an interview with the CEO of Lev Chesh Hav, she said that she does not say what she knows, perhaps in order not to upset Marinat's captain Hasan Shukri
In the mayor's first speech, she emphasized the word 'compassion'.
I'm really not anti-cliché, on the contrary, but when you emphasize and promise compassion, you have to stand behind the word.
If there is compassion for wild pigs - there should also be compassion for bodies that operate in an unregulated manner, even if they are taken out,
There should be compassion in the way it is done. You can give an alternative temporary place, you can try to arrange, you can talk.
The way things are done in Haifa and this can be the dismissal of the deputy mayor with a surprise message on a cell phone, or surprise messages
To the parents that the Gabrieli school was closed without consultation, or that an elementary school would suddenly become a middle school, and certainly not the closing of the Hadar community center and attempts to sabotage cultural and social life in order to hand over public buildings to the ultra-Orthodox sector... all of this does not convey
Compassion, communication, sharing and goodwill.
This evil is a compliment to the mayor of our city. She is super jealous and all her moves accordingly. Replace and quickly!!!
There really are no more words. Evacuation of a charitable organization that helps the needy, the elderly, Holocaust survivors and the sick, and in its place another school for the ultra-Orthodox. The trend of ultra-Orthodox takeover of public buildings in Hadar continues. This was preceded by the Hadar community center, which was closed and transferred to the ultra-Orthodox, now the building of the Lev Hash association and there are certainly other properties on the horizon. The mayor and her allies prove how wrong the residents of Haifa were when they elected them. The residents of Haifa wanted change, renewal, not a blatant destruction of the existing, including all the good that was here. How much insensitivity and inconsideration is needed to unilaterally damage the home of the association, which has been working for years for the well-being of the city's weak and needy residents. Kalish pays the ultra-Orthodox for their support at the expense of disadvantaged sections of the general public in the city. There is a situation that the building is intended for ultra-Orthodox students who will come from outside Haifa. The decision of the Haifa municipality is as disconnected and outrageous as its city leadership. A leadership motivated by political considerations in favor of a minority that imposes its wishes on the lifestyles of the secular public in the city and lives at its expense. We have put an end to this political conduct. First and last term for Klish due to incompatibility and substantial and continuous damage it causes to the secular, open and tolerant image of Haifa.
There is a lack of information here as usual in the "Hai-Fa Anti-Kalish" magazine, the municipality harassing the association sounds really unjust and out of place, it is not clear what the reasons are or what the reasons are that the association is not ready to meet the demands of the municipality, in short there is no information, what remains is an article that once again builds an image of the evil Kalisz, the live magazine here has the potential to be more interesting if the articles in it (and the choice of articles) are balanced
