Accused of committing serious sexual offenses against 6-year-old girls - inside the school

Between service, assistant at an elementary school in Kiryat, accused of committing many sexual offenses against female students of the school where he worked

The Haifa District Attorney's Office today (Thursday 14/1/21) submitted an indictment to the Haifa District Court, against a 19-year-old serviceman, charging him with nine charges for committing serious sexual offenses against eight minors, aged 6.

On 12/1/21 it was reported in Chai Pa about the arrest of a young man who worked at an elementary school in Kiryat and committed sexual offenses among female students. Now the police are revealing the extent of his crimes and a broad and serious indictment is being filed against him.

Served as a teaching assistant

From the facts of the indictment, it appears that in the months of November - December 2020, as part of a year of service, the accused engaged in voluntary activity at an elementary school in Kiryat, in the position of a teaching assistant. First, the accused worked as an assistant in the fourth grade, and later worked as an assistant in the first grade.

Sexually assaulted first graders

During the period of his employment at the school, for about three weeks, the defendant committed serious sexual offenses against minors studying in the first grade. The accused used to help the minors during the lesson, kneel down in their direction, and while giving the explanation, perform serious sexual acts on them. In one case, the accused committed sexual acts on two of the minors, while they were washing their hands in the school bathroom.

It is about committing offenses against a large number of minors over the years, and on a large number of occasions. The offenses were committed during school hours, in a classroom full of children, a teacher and an assistant, with great courage and without inhibitions. The accused took advantage of his position as a teaching assistant, the power gap and his position towards the minors, and their need for his help with the class assignments, causing them serious and lasting harm.

His actions were stopped, however, due to the exposure of the actions by one of the minors to the teacher, immediately after he had committed a sexual offense against her. The actions attributed to the accused show the lack of control over his sexual urges and his danger to the public in general, and minors in particular.
