Promenade closed - live investigation here: The Rat Promenade is closed, two and a half months after the official Hanukkah and two years since the work began. There is no sign of works in the area. The project is managed by Yaffe Nof and there is no completion date at the moment. The Haifa Municipality says: The second phase requires complex coordination with the Navy and the Rambam Medical Center and is promoted by coordination with these parties.

The story of the rat promenade:
In 2017, Mayor Yahav reached an agreement with the Navy, that the Navy would withdraw 3 meters from the sea front and allow the city of Haifa to continue the sequence of promenades to the Pacific coast.
A week before the Haifa municipal elections, on 14/10/18, the municipal workers tore down the wall and Yahav went to the media as the winner (which is really a worthy achievement). Yahav lost the elections and the building itself began during the time of Kalish.
There were several obstacles on the way, among them, the desire of the Navy to keep the exit of small vessels. For this purpose, the bridge was invented that will pass over the bay, which is left to the navy in planning.
Another obstacle is the Rambam Hospital's helipad, which requires the safe passage of the wounded when a helicopter lands.
These two obstacles, it seems, are still in coordination, planning and construction procedures.
And meanwhile, the irons intended for the construction of the bridge are rusting in the rain and sun, when instead of a bridge there is a picket fence.
At the moment, the Haifa municipality refuses to specify a target date for the completion of the project and the residents in the meantime will wait...
Haifa…

An important place for surfing in eastern winds but it is not regulated
In eastern winds, the wind blows strongly at exactly this point. Since the eastern wind blows from the coast to the sea, this is the only point in Israel where the wind blows from the side. There is no descent into the water for the surfers, but there is still hope among the surfers that a few meters will be arranged for a safe descent into the water.

Yoram Shitrit, a social activist from Bat Galim:
It is one of the most beautiful promenades in Israel and has a central role in connecting the sequence of promenades from the student beach to the quiet beach. I believe that Klish and Shuber will be able to overcome the obstacles and finish the project.

The Haifa Municipality informed Haifa:
Hulda Gurvitz Promenade "The Angel in White" is being built in stages:
The first phase was finished and following it a ceremony was held also at the request and in coordination with the family to remove the lot above the name of Hulda Gurvitz.
The second phase requires complex coordination with the Navy and the Rambam Medical Center and is promoted in coordination with these parties.
The third and final phase will be carried out after the completion of the second phase and within the framework of which all the final gardening and development works will also be carried out.
Schedules for carrying out each of the stages will be provided later after they have been agreed upon with all the parties concerned.

With God's help they will finish, or the mayor who comes later will finish
(If he does not decide to destroy every project of his predecessor, as is the custom of the current leadership)
Einat Kalish is the disaster of Haifa.
Decisions with a racial flavor (the expulsion of the Druze), the denial of freedom of expression from the gay community (the flag affair), a deputy mayor who supports Hassan Nasrallah and another deputy mayor who is concerned about the positive immigration of ultra-Orthodox Lithuanians from Bnei Brak. catastrophe.
Added to that are shaky human relations that affect relations with government ministries and regulatory bodies which in turn stifle anything positive in Haifa. All that is left for Klish is to be proud of the orange paint cans that are scattered throughout the city in favor of the 20 Minutes Zoz initiative.
Another 3 years or less - it will be time to throw away and replace.
Klish is the biggest liar, what interests her is her and only her, three more years of suffering for him already.
Tired of the worst mayors who were in the city that will leave already. The only thing she cares about is the Bay of Pigs in that she is number 1 in the country
Tracking is indeed unclear. Also, calling Yoram Shitrit a "social activist" is an insult to the concept. How is this man a "coat" and more than that, how is he "social"?? Not funny and quite sad
I personally knew Hulda Gurvitz, a lovely woman, 36 years ago, when I was a soldier in Lebanon, she organized for us girls of the 300th Siege Battalion, a fun day in Haifa.. a day that was a great experience. She worked for soldiers and female soldiers.. as if they were building
The boardwalk named after Hulda Gurvitz must be opened. Have a good week. Please, Einat Kalish - Rotem, the mayor of Haifa, help me in this matter. Thank you.
Like we promised to start renovating Talpiot market with signs a year ago and then it turned out that the conservation plan was not approved and the architect resigned. The pertache of this city engineer is simply unbelievable, the contempt for lack of enforcement and neglect of infrastructures is anchored in the reports of the State Comptroller and the Municipal Comptroller, a disastrous mess in the director of engineering, Haifa conservation plans kept like a canned food box that no one wants to open, collapsed infrastructure in Binev, potholes, failed renovations. An atmosphere of being stuck and what do we care if you are stuck. What is being done is being done with glaring mediocrity and with plenty of glitches and delays like the stadium without the perimeter cladding and the empty shopping mall inside. New watches are designed terribly like Neat Perv. Half of the apartments are like tenements without a view on a main road with a bridge between parts of the neighborhood and kindergartens next to a main road. Bat Galim Nilmo arches look what they are called like sheds in a military base. what will be the end How complex is a bridge.. If it is not possible why did they mislead the public that it is possible. Make a sealed pipe, the main thing is to connect already...
Worth the wait. will be lovely
As someone who took part in the ceremony of removing the lot on the promenade named after Gurvitz, I wanted to show my mother the place. We arrived and saw that the entrance was blocked. It bothered me a lot. For me personally, it makes me sad when I think about the enormous excitement of Hula and her family members from the ceremony and the fact that after that it is impossible to get close to the place and be moved by the sign and the beauty of the place. What is the idea of paying public respect in a place that is supposed to be public and is closed for an unknown time...
