David Castel and Prof. Biar will work to promote international cooperation between Rambam and the University Hospital in Stockholm
David Castel, who is running for the position of President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haifa and the North, who also serves as the Swedish Consul in Haifa and the North, recently met with Professor Rafi Biar, CEO of the Rambam Hospital.
As part of the meeting, key issues important to the development of the North and the region were discussed.
Rambam Hospital, which is in the midst of an extensive and accelerated development boom, may serve as an engine and growth lever for the realization of the ideas that David Castel put forward in his meeting with the CEO. At the meeting, Kastel presented to Professor Beyer a proposal for international cooperation between the Rambam Hospital and the new Karolinska University Hospital established in Stockholm. The proposal that was forwarded to David Kastel was within the framework of a regional consular conference held in Sweden. Professor Beyar intends to promote the idea together with David Kastel and implement it under the auspices of and with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Haifa and the North. Professor Biar, who stated during the meeting his support for the candidacy of David Castel for the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Haifa and the North, emphasized that he attaches great importance to the development of cooperation in the field of medicine. "The proposed collaboration with the Karolinska Medical Center in Stockholm is An important step in building an infrastructure for a variety of collaborations in the future. I have no doubt that if David Castel is elected to the position of President of the Chamber, he will initiate a long series of collaborations," noted Professor Biar.
