A date tree that stood on an immovable island, in the area of the southern exit of Haifa, collapsed in the strong eastern wind that blew in Haifa this morning. We note that these are mature trees that were planted on the spot several years ago.
Fortunately, the tree did not fall on the road or passing cars or people.

Trees that cannot be predicted if they will withstand a strong wind, should not be planted.
Human life is more important than a worldview about the beauty of a tree.
