The Israel Ports Company appealed to the Ministry of Transportation regarding the suspension of road project works for the Gulf Port
The company claims in a letter sent to the Ministry of Transportation that they are "stuck" in the road project to the Gulf port, and if the project is not transferred immediately from the hands of the Yaffe Nof company, after the resumption of the work, they will not be able to meet the schedules and costs.
The advances to the contractors that were supposed to be delivered were not delivered after Shepa Nof stopped the process. This means stopping work in a number of sectors critical to the project. Change orders and additions that drive the project and reach the contractors are not promoted for approval for execution and payment. In addition, project managers are summoned to hearings in Jaffa Nof for their transgressions, apparently, without the ability of the Ministry of Transportation and the Israel Ports Company to protect them, when until now they have been engaged in the project and ready for its predecessor.

"Haifa Municipality is delaying approvals"
If that is not enough, the Haifa municipality is delaying approvals and answers, probably due to a conflict with the Ministry of Transportation and it is not cooperating. As a result, work permits such as:
- Starting the construction of the train to the Gulf port in the western section.
- Checking detour plans.
- Failure to accept works that have already been completed by written instruction.
- Failure to approve drilling works in several places.
Increasing chaos
The chaos created in the last few days due to the fact that the project was not taken out of Yaffe Nof company is very great. Every day that passes in such a situation means a financial loss of a million shekels per day, and every week that passes in such a situation is much more than a week, in some jobs it is several months of delays in schedules.
In the letter, the Israel Ports Company states that they expect the Ministry of Transportation to find a way and a solution until the dispute is resolved and to give the project the opportunity to proceed above the existing debates.
The Ministry of Transportation did not respond.
No response was given from the Haifa municipality.
