Precedent: A case that was expected to end in actual imprisonment ended in only a suspended sentence
The case that agitated the city of Haifa, the case of extortion with threats, setting fire to a showroom, shooting, setting cars and trucks on fire, which began in July 2019 against Topolsky, has come to an end.
This is an embarrassing end to an affair that began with an extortion campaign that began in July 2019 and the burning of two trucks belonging to the Topolski company. Later, five more cases of violence were committed which included, among other things, shooting at the company's showrooms in the middle of the day, when the place was crowded, and the burning of the owner's vehicles at his home.

The main suspect in the case, a 55-year-old resident of Nesher, was arrested in October 2019.
Initially, he was charged with serious crimes, including conspiracy to commit a crime and extortion by threats. But despite the efforts of the police, in the end, an indictment was filed against him for aiding and abetting blackmail.
After his representative, attorney Ronan Haliva, finished questioning the key witnesses in the case, the prosecution had to withdraw the original indictment, so that it was amended, including the indictment.
As a precedent, Section 500 (7) of the Penal Code was used for the first time for a misdemeanor offense, and a case that was expected to end in prison ended with a suspended sentence only, while the defendant was subject to a suspended sentence and a very serious crime.
Judge of the Haifa Magistrate's Court, Zaid Falah, As mentioned, on Thursday morning 23/7/20, the defendant was sentenced to six months of probation which will be applied if he commits, within three years from today, the crime he was convicted of in this case. Yes, he ordered the cancellation of all the restrictive conditions imposed on the accused in connection with this case and the return of any amount deposited by him through his lawyer, as well as the cancellation of the order delaying his departure from the country.

Attorney Ronan Haliva told Lahi Pa:
From the first day it was clear that my client had nothing to do with the actions that were initially attributed to him. After a long struggle, justice came out and "the mountain gave birth to a mouse".
Woe to us all if we have to trust the Israeli police and the legal system in Israel! We are all aware that everything is carried out here in an unusual manner and with an unusual sleight of hand! What is clear to all of us is that the police and legal system are probably even more afraid of investigating the same terrible event, because those factors that stand behind this activity are nothing but the people of the underworld of whom the fear is so great!
I am sure that all the people of Israel know what happened. How come the police didn't figure it out. Something happened to the Doters. Looking for shortcuts. Instead of investigating. I say there was a protection chain from the mafia here. Because it is clear why they burned the trucks because they did not agree to extortion. Because of police failures like this case. The companies respond to them and give them money. Because the police also say they can't do anything. Apparently the police are uninitiative and weak in front of them. It's very sad that the police behave like this as helplessness. We the public are the ones who are screwed because of this.
For burning the doctor's car on Allenby St. they will receive a fine of NIS 250...
Kudos to the newspaper that publishes the articles on the subject. Such issues should be put on the agenda. The police should be more efficient and find the culprits.
A justice system of a banana republic that is unable to deal with the crime of garbage from Ivtin. They know very well who is behind it, they prefer to say that it is rain that they piss on at the request of the sector.
It is very good that the matter has come to an end. Shabbos Shalom.
It seems to me that now the diversified lawyer will have clients.
One of two possibilities, either the person is guilty and the police and the prosecutor's office are unable to protect us, or the person is not guilty and the police and the prosecutor's office do not find the real culprit and just blame it on another person.
In both cases our situation is dire.
The police are unable to prepare a proper case and the prosecutor's office is unable to distinguish a case full of holes. It is lucky that there are lawyers who manage to find the dark holes. It has long been seen that something is very rotten in the police and the prosecutor's office when it comes to preparing cases for prosecution.
