Klalit insureds in Haifa will benefit from emergency medical service continuously from morning to night, including weekends
With the opening of a medical center for Klalit insured persons in the complex on the grounds of Carmel Hospital, from the Klalit Group.
Ronan Nodelman, general manager in the Haifa and Western Galilee district:
This is a groundbreaking format, which is made possible thanks to the fact that the college has its own hospital in Haifa. Klalit is investing millions of shekels in this project, with the aim of providing its patients with a high-quality emergency medicine service in sequence: during the day - in the community emergency room and in the evening and on weekends - in the center, which for the first time is located inside a hospital.
Klalit insureds in the area now enjoy a high-quality medical address for urgent situations when the clinics are closed, after the end of several days of training, the new center for emergency medicine located in Carmel Hospital began to operate.
This is a unique format in Israel, of a call center located inside a hospital, separate from the emergency room and operated in cooperation between Klalit in the community and Carmel Hospital, from the Klalit group. The new center is located on a day hospitalization site in a hospital that recently underwent a comprehensive renovation and was prepared to high and contemporary standards.
The team, under the direction of Dr. Najuan Kiel, an expert in internal medicine and the director of Klalit's continuing care unit in Acre, and who has extensive experience in emergency medicine in the busy community emergency room at the Zebulon Medical Center, is based on a senior team from the hospital and community clinics of Klalit, which includes high-quality and experienced doctors in family or internal medicine, pediatrics and trauma and skilled nurses. The staff has at its disposal diagnostic and treatment means such as x-rays, an urgent laboratory, the possibility of suspending the patient for several hours for monitoring, giving infusions, inhalations, etc. Also, stitches, adhesions and casts will be performed on the spot.
Ronan Nodelman - director of Klalit in the Haifa and Western Galilee district and Dr. Avi Goldberg - director of Carmel Hospital, who together lead this project, point out that the benefits for the patient are many:
Unlike other medical centers, a high professional level is guaranteed, the treatment will be given in uniform medical protocols in a sequence between hospital and community, the patient's medical file is available to the staff on the computer so that they can immediately get a picture of the patient's state of health, the medication he is taking and drug sensitivity as well as document the diagnosis and treatment in the hotline so that the family doctor is informed immediately for further treatment.
The usual long wait in the emergency room is saved and the fear of cross-infections is reduced. Furthermore, in any case where it is determined that treatment in hospital conditions is nevertheless necessary, the patient is admitted to the hospital, in a direct and fast route and even without the loss of precious time that occurs when the patient is referred to a hospital.
The call center will accept only Klalit insured persons and it will operate every day, including Fridays and holiday evenings from 19:00 (Friday from 14:00) until 23:00 and on Saturdays and holidays from 12:00-23:00. The service is provided at the cost of a visit to a medical center, with a 50% discount for my perfect colleague when she visits on a weekend.
The initial article about the opening of the center
medical center | Klalit is building a unique complex at Carmel Hospital in Haifa • 24/7
The call center will be located inside the Carmel Hospital of the Klalit Group, but in a complex separate from the emergency rooms and exclusively for Klalit insureds. The entrance to the site will be separate from the entrance to the hospital, next to the parking lot. The day hospital complex recently underwent a comprehensive renovation and was prepared to high and contemporary standards. The center will serve as a medical center after the clinics' operating hours and until 23:00 p.m. every day, including weekends and holidays. The service will include the stay beds, administration of transfusions, oxygen, EKG monitoring, laboratory investigation and X-rays, sutures and casts, and more.
General practitioners in the community and in the hospital
The medical team will be based on Klalit specialist doctors in the community and hospital in family or internal medicine, children and trauma and a skilled nursing team from the hospital departments and Klalit clinics. In this way, it is emphasized in general, high level medicine and activity in uniform medical protocols will be guaranteed, when the medical file is available to the doctor and the results are recorded in the medical file. The service will be provided at the cost accepted in night centers, including a 50% discount for the perfect insured on weekends.
Ronen Nodelman - The manager of Klalit in the Haifa and Western Galilee district, emphasizes that this is a unique and ground-breaking format where for the first time the medical center is physically located inside a hospital. A feature that is possible thanks to the fact that Klalit has its own hospital in Haifa that operates as an integral part of Klalit's services in the region. The advantage is a particularly high level of medical care and also in that in any case where it turns out that additional urgent medical care, hospitalization or invasive intervention is required - there will be no loss of precious time when arriving at the emergency room, but the subject will be referred immediately for clarification or hospitalization even without the whole repeated process of waiting in the emergency room but on the route green. This is very important in situations where every minute is precious, such as a stroke, heart attack and more.
A real upgrade for the residents of Haifa
This service, in which Klalit is investing millions of shekels to ensure a real upgrade in service to the residents of Haifa and the surrounding area, completes the circle of emergency medical services that Klalit offers to its policyholders, after the hours of operation at the community emergency room operating in Lin throughout the week were extended until the evening, including Wednesdays. So that a Klalit customer knows that at any time he has an address to turn to when an urgent medical problem arises. This is in addition to the dozens of Klalit clinics in the region.
Yesterday, Friday afternoon, I came for treatment at the new complex - (Medical Center) and met a wonderful team. Dr. Kogan Yana and nurse Jenny who treated me with dedication and kindness. In the evening they called Saul to ask about my health. There are no words. Naftali Whitman
Excellent upgrade. greetings
The question is to whom the service is given only to the general members. Really excellent service in an excellent location.
I liked it. Beautiful
Ronan Nodelman is number 1, in my opinion he deserves to be the general manager of the company.
Great.
A wonderful project and can save lives in case the clinics are closed
