The Committee for the Preservation of Buildings and Sites in the Municipality of Haifa approved the preservation survey for the Wadi Aljamal neighborhood - Ein Hayam at the beginning of the week.

About 40 buildings in the Ein Hayam neighborhood - Wadi El Jamal, this week entered the preservation list of the Committee for the Preservation of Buildings and Sites in the Haifa Municipality, of which two are in conservation grade A (the highest). Also, 5 conservation complexes were surveyed, which will guarantee forever or at least for future generations, the preservation of the blue view of the sea.
The conservation survey includes the streets: the Hagana, the Anchor, the Masan, Hubert Humphrey and the beach promenade, the Seas and Lakes Research Institute, Tel Shekmona, and it was conducted by architect Gila Margolin under the guidance of architect Naama Neman Mizrahi, from the Council for the Preservation of Sites in Israel and under the guidance of the Conservation Department of the Haifa Municipality.

Orva Suitat is a city planner, and a member of the conservation committee as an advisory opinion told Lahi Fe:
The importance of the survey since it ensures the preservation of dozens of historical buildings and protects the delicate landscape in a strategic area, between the mountains, the symbol of Haifa, from projects that could lead to destruction or severe damage to these values in the future. The survey is added to a number of surveys approved by the conservation committee in the past year and to other important surveys that are being conducted throughout the city under the leadership of the conservation department.

Padua Saroji, a native and resident of the neighborhood and active in the community, told Lahi Pa:
This is a historic decision, which was made after thorough work that was done at the initiative of the municipality in order to locate buildings for preservation and make an orderly preservation plan for Haifa. There is no doubt that Mayor Einat Kalish Rotem treats the whole issue of conservation in a different way, and to me personally everything that happens in the neighborhood is very important.
The neighborhood of Wadi Al Jamal - Ein Hayam, entered the conservation list with about 40 buildings included in the conservation list. This means that the neighborhood was recognized as a historical neighborhood of significance to Haifa and the residents, especially the Arab residents of Haifa. The neighborhood of Einhaim - Wadi Aljamal has an extensive history of hundreds of years and different eras that humanity has had, and without a doubt what happened yesterday in the committee is a very important seal for the future of the neighborhood also in regards to planning and construction.

How does the recognition of the neighborhood as a neighborhood for preservation manifest in practice?
What happened, all the nationalists jump? If not a Jew, not Kim?
The disaster of this sickening nationalism.
In every Hadar there are amazing buildings for preservation.
I live in Ben Yehuda. There are buildings here from the 1930s that are requested to be renovated and preserved.
And you should go to the yard of the old Technion which is a building to the glory of the country and there is a certificate of Albert Einstein and his wife Elsa next to trees they planted on their only visit to Israel.
but…. The dirt and neglect in the entire yard of the old Technion should be taken care of immediately.
It's a real disgrace and shame how this beautiful garden in the Technion courtyard became the neighborhood dog urinal.
Come visit and change the situation
I am not against the preservation of ancient buildings, I claim that there are dilapidated buildings like in the Hadar neighborhood, and they should be demolished and new buildings built in their place
Bezach Haifa should also enter into the issue of conservation
Why did it originate from 1928?
And also in the Haifa variety. An ancient theme and it should be preserved
Not just the old houses.
should be preserved.
Only what is convenient for the cliché
The 40 buildings in Haifa should always be preserved. This is important.
very
Good Morning
The reporter is not allowed to write and change the name of the neighborhood and add additions. It is a shame that the Arab committee members use their power and change names.
Ein Hayam is the name of the respectable neighborhood and that's how it should be called.
No female journalist has the right to change names only to the municipality
Asking the site manager to intervene and take down the caption.
Eye of the Sea has not existed for hundreds of years...!! Apparently the old houses in the neighborhood were built about 80-90 years ago... correct me if I'm wrong... T.L.H.
Dear Samar, Di, please accept and internalize:
The committee and not the committee, like the menstruator and not the menstruator, like the rose and not the rose...
In the middle of the word there is always a v with two hooks! And starting a word with one hook: Seth, Ada, Villa, Venus, Vienna, Rose………
Friends, drink gezoz and give gas to everything that moves. As far as I'm concerned, Ein Haim can be annexed to Jenin. So come on, start baking houses in Devon with Labna. With an appetite.
Sure to keep the residents' account, the hand is light on the trigger, it doesn't come out of your pocket.
By the way - Ein Haim and no other name
