Lack of public toilets in the section of the boardwalk from Carmel Beach to Bat Galim.
Haifa is proud of a series of promenades invested in its beaches.
From Dado South Beach to Bat Galim there are well-maintained promenades connected to each other, which are frequented by thousands of visitors every day.
Only until nirvana…
Many visitors come for several hours to enjoy the promenade, the park and everything that is offered in the area, but many complain that there are no public toilets in the section of the promenade from the Carmel beach to Bat Galim, a section of about 5 km.
The last public toilets on the boardwalk are between Meridian and Nirvana.
live here Many complaints were received from travelers and visitors, and the Live Here system addressed the municipality with the question: if there is any future planning for the construction of public toilets in the section in question, which would cater to thousands of visitors.
need a pee? For 5 km - hold back!
Haifa Municipality did not provide any response.
The property tax in Haifa is very expensive, the main thing is a basic condition of toilets near the sea
And why will the Haifa municipality respond? This is Mayor Einat Klishea's policy not to respond and not to give the electorate an account of her actions. She is of course not the insider, that a proper administrator requires sharing and informing the public that as they chose her, she can be discriminated against in the next elections.
And what about lockers on the beaches?
For a nominal fee, it is possible at 2-3 central points on the beaches (Bat Galim, Dedo, Naot) to provide lockers that open and close via a code in the app and require almost no maintenance so that people can safely keep their belongings while bathing or walking. This is done in hundreds of cities around the world. In Haifa with an elderly and large student population that comes from a distance and without a car this is even more necessary.
Well-kept promenades? We built a simple concrete strip at the fishermen's beach, there are no steps down to the beach. There are no benches. There is no shadow. There are no toilets. There are no kiosks. The Bat Galim promenade cannot be called well-kept. You mean neglected.
There are so many problems in Hecht Park. There is no shade anywhere on the promenade. The access to it from the beach is in low tunnels under the train that you have to bend down to break your back and in winter there is mud. Feeling of great loss.
I think the matter should be taken seriously. Not sarcastically and not against the law! Yes indeed! There are no public toilets on the new promenade - already from the hotels to the north. The third age also uses the boardwalk - whether to walk, whether to stroll on it and for any other need. Therefore, the municipality and those in charge must ensure adequate services in the missing kilometers. The restaurants also do not have to "host" those who want to enter for services only. Consideration of the entire population in Haifa - on behalf of the municipality and officials - will not hurt!
Do on the roadsides like the cattle. You are used to it.
And there are no benches with shade for those who want to rest. They also took down the arches in Bat Galim and did not put something in place
Even so, people urinate against the law. So what does it matter where and whether there are public toilets, it flies everywhere from the wind. A little wetness won't hurt anyone.
are there toilets public in Park Hecht, near the gas station by Maxim.
But it does not satisfy the needs of visitors to the promenades.
