The flotilla takes place every year close to the day the submarine was found (May 28, 1999). This year it will take place in a reduced format, under the restrictions of the Corona epidemic and the directives of the Ministry of Health and Transportation on the subject.
About 130 ships and boats are expected to arrive at the flotilla with limited crews that will consist of sailors and teenagers, while the families of the fallen will watch from afar the flotilla and the ceremony of throwing wreaths into the sea by the navy soldiers.

At 09:00 - the flotilla's departure to the sea from Shavit anchorage in Kishon Port, north of Polynum

At 10:30 - the end of the ceremony and departure for a competitive cruise to the Achziv Islands and back

About the submarine Decker
- The submarine that served in the British Navy was purchased in 1965 by Israel.
- The submarine Achi Decker sank on 25/1/1968 on its way from Britain to Israel and all 69 members of its crew perished.
- On 9/1/1968 she left for Israel after being renovated at Portsmouth Shipyards.
- On 24/1/1968 at 06:00 the last report was received from the submarine about her location.
The last transmission was received from her 188 hours later. On May 28, 1999, more than 31 years after her disappearance, the remains of "Dakar" were found at the bottom of the sea at a depth of 3 kilometers, on the planned sailing route to Haifa, at a distance of 485 kilometers from her destination. The submarine was left in place. The command bridge was brought ashore and placed in the Maritime Museum in Haifa.
