Klalit continues to develop a service system adapted to the needs of the community during the Corona epidemic and in this framework extended the operating hours of the community emergency room at the Lynn Medical Center until the evening hours. The service operates from today on Sundays continuously from 08:00 to 18:30 and on Fridays until 11:30.
In the future, it is planned to expand a similar activity also in the community screening network in the district.

The rapid deployment of the expanded service was made possible thanks to the impressive mobilization of the Lynn administration and all its staff, when the senior doctors and department managers and senior nurses in Lynn were mobilized to take part in the staffing of the community emergency department and move from positions in the departments, where there is a real decrease in patient inquiries, to receive those who apply to the community emergency department.

The community emergency room is equipped, like an emergency room, with beds with oxygen connections, infusions and more and is an excellent address for most medically urgent cases, with the exception of those that require hospital admission, such as an acute cardiac event. The service includes an urgent laboratory, an X-ray institute that performs imaging tests, a pharmacy that is not normally found in a hospital emergency room. The doctors also have the advice of all the specialists in the departments in Linn as needed. Also, the accident and trauma department in Linn works closely, where injuries, fractures are treated, plastering is performed as required, and more.

The community emergency room has many advantages, since it is a team of expert and senior doctors with subspecialties, the examination and treatment are carried out in a fast track without the long queues in the emergency rooms and of course there is a considerable reduction in the fear of exposure to infections.

These days, its importance is increasing, because we found that many patients avoid going to the emergency room for fear of corona. Situations may arise in which it is important for the patient to be examined and treated, but he does not seek medical help. The fear is that due to a delay in treatment, irreversible or long-lasting damage will be caused. Therefore, we have created an address that is available over time to which our patients can turn without the fear that arises in them when they go to a hospital emergency room against infection and receive a particularly high-quality therapeutic response, under optimal conditions.

At the same time, and out of concern for public health, it is recommended that those who have suspicious symptoms of corona, such as difficulty breathing and cough accompanied by fever, make a telephone contact with the Klalit medical team before physically arriving at the clinic or emergency room.
