Since 2001 and within 8 years, apartment prices in Jerusalem have jumped at the fastest rate, 74%.
During that period, apartment prices in Tel Aviv increased by 61%. Prices in the central cities and Gush Dan increased by an average of 45% and in the Sharon cities by 54%.
In Kiryat, prices increased by 12%, but on the other hand, during these years, apartment prices in Haifa decreased by 3.5%, and in the north decreased by 4.5%.

On the other hand, those who purchased an apartment in Haifa in early 2002 lost a lot of money on their investment: the average price of an apartment was NIS 598, and since then it has even dropped to only NIS 580.
On the other hand, in the Kiryat area, prices actually increased during that period by 12%, from NIS 477 to NIS 535.
