MDA volunteer Ofek Amir, 17 years old, from Kiryat Bialik, won the Elad Rivan Minister of Education's youth volunteer award. Along with eight other youth volunteers from around the country, Ofek received the honorable award, for his work within the national rescue organization Magen David Adom. Ofek started volunteering at MDA about two years ago and works as a first aid provider in ambulances, mentors and guides teenagers and also leads humanitarian projects for the benefit of the public.

Ofek Amir:
When I was informed of my winning the award I was very excited," said Ofek, "The winning is very valuable to me because it recognizes my efforts to save human lives. I know that when I leave MDA and enlist in the army, there will be more than a hundred youth volunteers, whom I had the privilege of guiding and helping to become lifesavers in Israel's National Rescue Organization, and this is a huge privilege.

CEO of MDA, Eli Bin:
We are extremely proud of his win, as well as his extensive activity in the organization, and wish him great success in the future. Like him, about ten thousand youth volunteers work in MDA, who are a very significant part of our activities, helping the sick and injured and saving human lives throughout the country.
We are proud of Ofek for winning the award and for his work in the organization. Excellent. Love it, love you Ofek
Congratulations to Ofek Amir on receiving the award. Good luck and good luck
