Sabina Tabashi, a senior medic at Mada Carmel who arrived together with the intensive care team says that the terrain route was problematic and it was necessary to go deep into the wadi with all the advanced resuscitation equipment:
"When we arrived at the scene, we found a woman in her 50s who was killed on the spot by the force of the falling tree and nothing could be done to help. Her husband and little girl were slightly injured, and it was necessary to rescue them in order to evacuate them to a hospital.'
A sudden strong and rare gust of wind
Hai Fe's forecasting center reported that a strong gust of north wind at a speed of 38 knots (about 70 km/h) was measured by the windsurfers' measuring devices at the Bat Galim site.
