A Salute to the Navy Evening: A joint production of ATOS, the Haifa Municipality and the Navy Association. The evening was held in preparation for Memorial Day and Independence Day which will take place next week.

About 2000 people gathered in the hall. A stage was set up in the center of the field.
Several hundred soldiers were invited, the top command of the navy, families of fighters and Haifa.

The Navy and the city of Haifa - a connection of years

The Navy and the city of Haifa have a long-standing connection. It is the main home port of the Israeli Navy. Navy Commander Ram Rothberg described how the fighters recognize the green Carmel from afar through the periscope of the submarine and feel that here is home on the horizon.

At the entrance to the hall, several fast fighting boats were stationed, which welcomed those who came.
The evening itself was marked by navy songs describing the importance of the soldier and the memory of the fallen.
In the first part of the evening, the reservists of the navy sang together with the navy band regularly.
In the second part of the evening, the band Ethnics sang, whose lead singer, Zeev Nechama, served as a fighter in the Stil under the command of Major General Dodo Ben-Bashat, who later commanded the soldier.
