The powerful winter storm that is blowing at these moments raised the sea waves up to a height of five meters. The wind blows at a speed of about thirty knots and the currents are very strong and dangerous. A number of professionals, the storm chasers, gathered from all over the country and came to Haifa to take advantage of these great conditions for extreme surfing. The most daring surfed in front of the Seas and Lakes Research Institute, where the waves sharpened and were fast and powerful. Many photographers also came to the occasion. I photographed from the water in motion, when I accompany the surfers with a moving camera mounted on the helmet. Not for the faint hearted.
