Has it happened to you that you wanted to stop just for a moment to buy a coffee, a Shabbat newspaper, you were starving for falafel or you were sent to pick up an order for a bouquet of flowers and finally decided to give up because you couldn't find a parking space? A new project of the Haifa municipality aims to provide a solution for exactly these cases.
After three months of a successful pilot on Arlozorov Street at the corner of Balfour, where the municipality allowed parking for 20 minutes for free - the project received positive reactions from the business owners and customers in the area.
In the second phase, the project will be expanded to several areas throughout the city. Dozens of parking spaces, which until now were marked with "blue and white", will be marked with orange and white colors and accompanied by dedicated signage. Parking will be allowed in these places, free of charge, for a limited time of up to 20 minutes.
Limiting the duration of parking is intended to help and strengthen the small businesses, by encouraging a high turnover of vehicles, and increasing the number of customers who can stop even for a short time. The parking locations that will be included in the new venture have been determined for areas where there is a large concentration of businesses and a small number of parking spaces.
The activity of the project will continue throughout the week, Sunday through Thursday, between the hours of 09:00 in the morning and 20:00 in the evening. The enforcement for the allotted parking time will be done through cameras placed on site.
In the future and after analyzing the effects of the project, it is expected to expand to other sites in the city.
So we only have one request for you - 20 minutes and a second no more. go to peace
Time to park a disabled car in Orange Levo Haifa
What about a disabled character, will he get a report after 20 minutes?
What is this joke, parking for 21 minutes without charge and in the 250st minute a report of 700 shekels. Be careful, this is a trap of reports. In my opinion, all the parking spaces will be free, and it will only take the parking spaces like they took about 20 parking spaces in green from us in the car to. Go the benefit for parking for XNUMX Minutes are dangerous and only good for the municipal coffers.
Nice idea. But paid parking for more than 20 minutes should also be allowed there. Imagine a situation where the parking lots are empty when there is no demand for 20-minute parking, while people who need more will keep looking....
I would also park in blue and white without a problem, only if it was free
