Demonstration against the integration of the bilingual track in the beach: "The school will not open"

The winds are stormy in the Shaar Aliya neighborhood in Haifa

About 50 residents came to demonstrate against the intention to combine Jewish and Arab students from the bilingual track at the Hofit school, in the Shaar Aliya neighborhood in Haifa and threatened that they would not allow classes to begin in September. "This is how assimilation begins," exclaimed one of the demonstrators, "in the end there will be no Jews left here."

About 50 residents came tonight to demonstrate against the intention to move the bilingual track classes from the Ahmadiyya school, which hosted them until now, to the Hufit school in Shaar Aliyah. The accommodation is until there is an independent building for the school. The municipality explained to the parents that there will be a separation between the bilingual classes, where Jewish and Arab students study, and between the school's classes.

The chants chanted by the demonstrators
"Good morning! Prinzek you better get up! All the Arab holidays will be here, Hofit is a Jewish school, Hofit school in assimilation", these are some of the chants chanted by the demonstrators. One of the things, which has been repeated over and over according to them, is that because the neighborhood is at a low socioeconomic level, they bring the bilingual track to the school, but they would not dare to do it in schools on the ridge.

Many of the protesters are older residents, who no longer have children at the Hufit school, but are anxious for the appearance of the neighborhood. One of the demonstrators came to the demonstration from the Hadar neighborhood, because she is going to have grandchildren at the school and it is important to her that no Arab students study there.
One of the protest leaders promised over the loudspeaker to the applause of the demonstrators that the school would not open on September 1st. "The school will open, only if we are in prison," she added.

One of the students on the beach took the microphone and said:
"We will not allow Arabs to enter our neighborhood. We students are not ready for Arabs to enter our school."

Again and again the demonstrators called out that the education of their children is not wasted. Some of the protesters talked about the Arab holidays and Jewish holidays such as Yom Kippur, which could offend. One of the demonstrators said that introducing the bilingual track could lead to assimilation. "We are not against anything, you can live next door, but not inside each other. At first you study together, then you get married and in the end there will be no Jews here. They wouldn't let us study in their neighborhoods."

It should be noted that one of the mothers, who was against the demonstration and did not participate in it, said that most of the parents at the school are not opposed to the integration of the bilingual track and in each class there are 2-3 parents who are opposed. "The students from the bilingual track will get a floor for themselves, until they have an independent school, and we are not opposed to that."

The municipality's response will be attached to the article when received.

  1. When you talk about say "we"! Say "I"!
Because not everyone is racist like you! I don't mind Arab students being in the same school as my daughters.
    pure shame!

  2. Reminds me of the rampage of Ramat Begin residents against a Haredim yeshiva...
    The world of lies

  3. What is your home language? What songs do you listen to at home? What are you, yes the 70-year-old old woman with the sign on your head? what are your roots Do you still tell your grandchildren and your daughter that you came and were put straight into the aisles? And you, the two sports children with the modern sports mother, what if they suddenly enter you and your brother just like that, because you are Moroccan! What will you do? Call your father and mother because you have no strength to run away! I doubt if you even understand what is written here. As usual, there are those who build and those who destroy that we the builders have to finance.

  4. Will there be no Jews left?
Who told you that you are Jewish? You received the degree as a gift, if they give a test in Judaism to all the dark ones, it will be found that most of them will not pass.
A culture of incitement that starts with the Prime Minister of a bunch of uncultured people from the Atlas Mountains.

  5. I'm sure that many of the less flamboyant residents are in favor. Racism rears its head and receives too big a stage in my life.

  6. How sad to hear the complainers and their opinions and the brainwashed young student... Haifa the city of tolerance Alak 🙁

And a question: relative to a neighborhood with a low socioeconomic level, according to one of the brains, the "beautiful" sign they made shows that there is money for this struggle - where did it come from? Did any conflicting party intervene and support? who will?

  7. I am a proud grandmother of two granddaughters, one of whom will start her third year in hand and the little one will start her first year. An amazing community and educational organization that nurtures cute children with devotion and love, who are our hope to bridge the social divide and the dark incitement that the dark right-wing regime managed to create under the auspices of Netanyahu and his racist colleagues. We see here a performance of women and a child who are brainwashed, have no vision of others and are racist like the best primitive anti-Semites. I wish them to experience every day what they put out of their mouths regarding innocent and cute boys and girls, and a fine, intelligent and well-meaning community of parents.
Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies!

  8. Stupidity has no end. Ugly racism. If they told me something like that about my children's septic house *on the ridge* I would jump for joy. Ignorant and dark like you.

  9. What will students and Arabs learn? Why are the Arabs not students?

    pure shame

  10. It's amazing to see how the Jews became really anti-Semitic... Good thing they filmed these despicable racists. I wish them to experience the same treatment shown to those who are different from them. Alek "Arabs" "They". Ugh. Ashamed of this human slime. Hope the municipality will defend and ignore this thing. pure shame.

    • Hi, as a parent of a girl in school I am ashamed of this population, a racist population that all they care about is that the children don't assimilate, it is important to note that the organizers of the demonstration are religious people who do not attend school.

    • You're right, just remind us when you protested against the beatings that the Jews receive in Ramla, and when you protested against the bullying of Jewish girls in Haifa, sorry, I forgot, that's why it's not Arabism, it's not racism

    • Go to the dictionary and learn what racism is. "Bullying girls" is not racism. This is an ugly criminal offense that should be punished. Writing "bullying Jewish girls" and attributing it only to Arabs - this is your racism. You assume that in Haifa only Arabs bully and only Jewish girls. that there are no Jews who bully (in Haifa - in Cyprus they are allowed), and bully only Jewish women.
