Shoshana Kolmer in an exciting meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

The late Kolmar, lived in the last decade At home, Yad Ezer helped a friend in splendor and was among the prominent tenants. She told the thousands who visited the Holocaust Museum about the horrors she experienced in the Auschwitz extermination camp. In 2016, the association held a beauty queen competition for Holocaust survivors and Colmer, who was 97 at the time, won the title. The competition is an initiative of the association, which also produces the event.

The CEO of the Yad Ezer Lehzar association Shimon Sebag said goodbye to her today with great sadness:
Shoshana was a special woman, who went through all the worst horrors. She lived here for almost 10 years, she was a walking museum. She told the thousands who visited the Holocaust Museum about the horrors she experienced in the Auschwitz extermination camp. Shoshana was one of the pillars and the living spirit with the heart and soul of the association. She was a woman of wisdom and excellence. I had Shoshana as a friend, as a sister and as a friend. We will miss her greatly.
It should be noted that only last October, Colmar celebrated its 100th birthday at Beit Yad Ezer Hebev, along with all the residents and Holocaust survivors. On the same day, Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev came to visit the association and she also participated in the celebrations alongside the association's CEO Shimon Sebag.
I was very sorry to receive the news of the late Shoshana's passing. I met Shoshana when my husband, the late Zvi Jodetz, volunteered at the association, and was one of the many who visited Shoshana regularly once a week. Once he even brought her to our ark. Shoshana was a very energetic and kind woman. Despite the disasters that befell her, she was a woman imbued with faith.
