The parents' committee at the school announced this evening that after the 3-day strike tomorrow, classes will be held as usual.

The chairman of the parents' committee at the Hagim school, Ilana Dihno, announced this evening that the strike at the school is over and tomorrow the students will return to school. The parents' council suspended the studies for the last three days due to dissatisfaction with the students' transportation to school and the lack of a sports hall in the new school building.
Conversations with Haifa Municipality:
In her message to parents, Dihano stated that in the last few days the committee worked with the holder of the education portfolio in the municipality, Sigal Zioni, and he forwarded her a list of long-term demands. In the coming days, the committee will wait to see if there is any progress and, accordingly, will decide whether to disrupt the studies. Dihano thanked the parents for their cooperation with the committee, asked the parents to continue to act in accordance with the committee's instructions if additional shutdowns are necessary and emphasized that this is not a political struggle but an attempt to help the children.

As I recall, after the Passover vacation, the students of classes moved to study in the new school building in Ramat Hadar. As a result of the move, there is a need for transportation from several neighborhoods to the school and back. According to the parents, there are not enough buses that come to the school and in some cases there is a lot of crowding on the bus routes and some students are afraid to get on the bus and get pushed or there is not enough space on the bus for all the students. The previous building of classes on Yair Katz Street in the center of Carmel was significantly closer to a large part of the students and some of them arrived on foot. The new building is further away and from a topographical point of view it is a difficult climb.
It should be noted that along the way the parents expressed satisfaction with the school's structure, many millions were invested in its construction, and they also favorably noted the great effort of the management and the teaching staff so that the transition between the two buildings would be as easy as possible for the students.
